École nationale d'administration
The École nationale d'administration (English: National School of Administration), one of the French graduate schools, was created in 1945 by Charles de Gaulle to democratise access to the senior civil service. It is now entrusted with the selection and initial training of senior French officials. The ENA is one of the symbols of the Republican meritocracy, along with École normale supérieure and Ecole polytechnique ("X"), offering its alumni access to high positions within the state.
Petite-France
Petite-France is an area in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. It is located on the Grande Île (Main Island), where the river Ill splits up into a number of canals and cascades through a small area of medieval half-timbered houses and baroque sandstone buildings. In the Middle Age, the Petite-France was the tanning-houses and slaughterhouses area. The Grand Île was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The name Petite-France ("Little France") was not given for patriotic or architectural reasons.
Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art
The Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg (MAMCS, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) is an art museum in Strasbourg, France, which was founded in 1973 and opened in its own building in November 1998. One of the largest of its kind in France, the museum houses extensive collections of paintings, sculpture, graphic arts, multimedia and design from the period between 1870 and today, as well as a wide range of pieces in its photographic library. It owns a total of 18,000 works.
Barrage Vauban
The Barrage Vauban (Vauban weir) is a weir erected in the 17th century on the river Ill west of the "Petite France" district in Strasbourg. It was constructed from 1686 to 1700 by the French Engineer Jacques Tarade according to plans by Vauban. Several stories high, it houses sculptures in its main level and a panoramical terrace on its roof.

Strasbourg Mosque
The Strasbourg Mosque ("Great Mosque of Strasbourg"), known in French as "La Grande Mosquée de Strasbourg", a large purpose-built building in the Heyritz area, south of the Ile de Strasbourg. It was inaugurated in September 2012. It is designed by Paolo Portoghesi, who also designed the Rome Mosque. The design competition included a futuristic proposal by Zaha Hadid.
Canal de la Bruche
The Canal de la Bruche is a canal in eastern France that originally connected Molsheim to the Canal de la Marne au Rhin. Its main use was to transport building materials for fortification of Strasbourg. The last commercial load was in 1939 and it closed in 1957.
