Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Besançon
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Besançon is a Latin Rite Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in France. It comprises the département of Doubs and the département of Haute-Saône, except for the canton of Héricourt. The current archbishop is Monseigneur André Jean René Lacrampe, who succeeded Monseigneur Lucien Daloz to this post on 13 August 2003.

Citadel of Besançon
The Citadel of Besançon in Franche-Comté, France, is one of the military architect Vauban's masterpieces. The Citadel occupies eleven hectares on Mount Saint-Etienne, one of the seven hills that protect Besançon, the capital of Franche-Comté. Mount Saint-Etienne occupies the neck of an ox-bow formed by the river Doubs, giving the site a strategic importance that Julius Caesar recognised as early as 58 BC.

Our Lady of Liberation is a church built in an old fort located at nearly 500 meters of altitude, near the hamlet of Chapelle des Buis on the outskirts of the city of Besançon in the department of Doubs in Eastern France.
Lunettes of Trois-Châtels and Tousey
The lunettes of Trois-Châtels and Tousey are two lunettes located in the French city of Besançon. Their foundations were constructed in 1792 to support the citadel of Vauban but the structure was badly built and they were rebuilt during the Bourbon Restoration. In World War II, American forces liberated the city after a few battles in the two fortifications to reach the citadel. In the 1990s, they were bought by a man who now lives in the lunette of Tousey.
Fort of Rosemont
The fort of Rosemont is a fortifiction located in the French city of Besançon. Built in the summet of the hill of Rosemont during the Franco-Prussian War for supported the fort of Planoise and the fort of Chaudanne, he composed of two buildings (one little fort and one magasin) who have six rooms. But no one fights takes places in the city, it's because Rosemont was put away just after the World War I.
