Metallic tower of Fourvière
The Tour métallique de Fourvière ("Metallic tower of Fourvière"), a landmark of Lyon, France, is a steel framework tower which bears a striking resemblance to the Eiffel Tower. With a height of 85.9 metres and weight of 210 tons, the "metallic tower" was built between 1892 and 1894. During the Exposition universelle of 1914 in Lyon it had a restaurant and an elevator capable of taking 22 people up to the summit.
Fourvière
Fourvière is a district of Lyon, France and also a hill immediately west of the old part of the town, rising abruptly from the river Saône and then gently sloping down to the north-west. It is the site of the original Roman settlement of Lugdunum (43 BC). Though it supports the world's two oldest and active funicular lines, it is primarily known for the Catholic Basilica of Fourvière.

Rue Victor-Hugo, Lyon
Rue Victor-Hugo is a pedestrian street in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon, in the Ainay district of the Presqu'île quarter, reputed to be one of the most known shopping area of Lyon. From north to south, it connects the Place Bellecour to the Place Carnot. Beyond the Place Bellecour, the rue de la République is its natural extension, thus creating one of the biggest pedestrian streets in Europe. The street is served by metro stations Perrache, Bellecour and Ampère - Victor Hugo.
Place des Célestins
The Place des Célestins is a square located in the Célestins quarter, in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon. The square was named after the religious of the Order of the Celestines which were installed from 1407 to 1778. This zone is served by the metro station Bellecour. It belongs to the zone classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Place de la Trinité
The Place de la Trinité is a square located in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. The square, fully paved and surrounded by old buildings like the sun house (18th century), is more a crossing of small streets than a real square. It is on the hillside of Fourvière and is the low extremity of the hill of Gourguillon. The square is in the center of the zone classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Temple du Change
The Temple du Change or Loge du Change, formerly used for the stock exchange of Lyon, stands in Vieux Lyon. It was originally built after plans by architect Simon Gourdet between 1631 and 1653, then rebuilt under the direction of Jacques-Germain Soufflot in 1748-1750. It has been assigned to Protestant worship since 1803, hence its designation Temple.
Rue Lainerie
The Rue Lainerie is an ancient cobbled pedestrian street of the Vieux Lyon quarter, in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. From north to south, it connects two quarters, Saint-Paul and Saint-Jean, and more precisely the Place du Change and the Place Saint-Paul. There is currently an academy of music (section Vieux Lyon) at No. 1 and many hotels. The street is served by many buses (29-30-31-44-184), two metro stations and a velo'v station.
Rue du Bœuf
The Rue du Bœuf is a 188-metre cobbled pedestrian street of the Vieux Lyon quarter, located in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. Very representative of the Renaissance architecture of the neighborhood, it is lined only with old houses from the 16th or 17th century. The street connects the rue de Gadagne which it continues after the Place du Petit Collège and the intersection of the rue du Chemin Neuf, the rue de la Bombarde and the rue Tramassac which prolongs it.
Place Benoît-Crépu
The Place Benoît-Crépu is a stone-paved square, located in Saint-Georges quarter, on the banks of the Saône, in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. It has fountains with dolphin heads, many benches and trees and a playground. The place belongs to the area classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Rue de Gadagne
The Rue de Gadagne is a paved pedestrian street of the Saint-Jean quarter, in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. It extends the rue du Bœuf and ends on the rue Lainerie that leads itself to the Place Saint-Paul. It is located in the center of Vieux Lyon and is part to the area which includes a mosaic of squares : Place du Change, Place du Petit Collège and Place de la Baleine in the extension of rue Saint-Jean. The street belongs to the zone classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Grande synagogue de Lyon
The Grande synagogue de Lyon is a synagogue located at 13 quai Tilsit in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon. This neo-Byzantine place of worship was built from 1863 to 1864. It was classified as a monument historique in 1984.
Maison du Chamarier
The Maison du Chamarier, also known as Hôtel d'Estaing, is a house at 37 rue Saint-Jean in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon, at the corner of Rue de la Bombarde. It was built in 1498 but the ancient ruins are from the thirteenth century. From Latin cameriarus, the word "Chamarier" means the superintendent of the finances of the bishop of the Lyon Cathedral. He also has the keys to the gates of the enclosure canonical. From the fifteenth century, he gathered the taxes collected during the fairs.

Musée Gadagne
The Musée Gadagne is a museum located in the center of the Vieux Lyon, in the Saint-Jean quarter, in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. It is composed of the Musée d'histoire de Lyon (Museum of Lyon History) and the Musée des marionnettes du monde (Museum of world puppets). The building was classified as monument historique in 1920. It was successively acquired by the city of Lyon between 1902 and 1941.
Manécanterie, Lyon
The Manécanterie is an ancient memorial situated in Lyon in Saint Jean district, in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon. It is placed side by side to the south southwest of the cathedral Saint Jean and is a part of the former convent of the cathedral. This small Romanesque building served first as dining hall to the canons of Saint Jean, before becoming a parish choir school, namely a school for the singing of the clergy.
