Institut Laue–Langevin
The Institut Laue–Langevin, or ILL, is an internationally-financed scientific facility, situated in Grenoble, France. It is one of the world centres for research using neutrons. Founded in 1967 and honouring the physicists Max von Laue and Paul Langevin, the ILL currently provides one of the most intense neutron sources in the world and the most intense continuous neutron flux in the world in the moderator region: 1.5x10 neutrons per second per cm, with a thermal power of 58.3 MW.

Drac (river)
The Drac is a 130 km long river in southeastern France, left tributary of the Isère. It is formed by the confluence of the Drac Noir and the Drac Blanc, that both rise in the southern part of the Massif des Écrins. It flows through several reservoirs, including the Lac de Monteynard-Avignonet. It flows into the Isère near Grenoble. Its major tributary is the Romanche.
Minatec
Minatec (initially called the Micro and Nanotechnology Innovation Centre) is a European research centre focused on micro-nano technologies in Grenoble, France. The centre was launched in 2006 as a partnership between LETI (the Electronics and Information Technologies Laboratory of CEA, the French Atomic Energy Commission) and by INPG (Grenoble Institute of Technology). The project combines a physical research campus with a network of companies, researchers and engineering schools.

Stade Lesdiguières
Stade Lesdiguières is a multi-purpose stadium in Grenoble, France. The stadium holds 12,000. It is the home of the FC Grenoble rugby union club. The name of the stadium was given in honor of François de Bonne, Duke of Lesdiguières, died in 1626. The Stadium is made up of 5 stands, the largest of which is the Tribune Présidentielle to the south. The Tribune Tennis is on the east side, so called because it is next to a tennis club, and is the only stand which is uncovered.

Grenoble–Montmélian railway
The railway from Grenoble to Montmélian is a 52 km long railway in southeastern France. It was built by the PLM and opened on 15 September 1864 (as a double track) to provide a link between Grenoble and Montmélian. In September 1991 it was electrified between Grenoble and Gières and electrification of the whole line is planned.

The accident on the Rampe de Laffrey on July 22, 2007, was one of the most serious accidents to occur along a stretch of road widely considered among the worst in France. 26 Polish pilgrims were killed when their bus flew off the road and into a ravine near the town of Vizille. 24 people were injured, 9 gravely, in the crash.
Lycée Champollion
The lycée Champollion or "Champo" is a French secondary school and higher education establishment in Grenoble, at 1 Cours La Fontaine, one block from the Place Victor Hugo. Its present director is M. Coppere. The second oldest lycée in Grenoble (after the lycée Stendhal, where the linguist Jean-François Champollion was educated), the lycée Champollion is best known for the quality of its classes préparatoires, making it the traditional school for the elites of Dauphiné and Savoy.
Lac de Monteynard-Avignonet
Lac de Monteynard-Avignonet is an artificial water reservoir for the Électricité de France power station on the Drac River. It belongs to the department of Isère. It is bounded by the canyons of the Drac and Ebron. The lake was created in 1961, when the 145-metre-high dam was built. The lake is 10 kilometres long, and in some places up to 300 metres wide. This lake is often windy and wavy. It is considered to be one of the best places for windsurfing and kitesurfing in Europe.
Musée dauphinois
The Musée dauphinois (Dauphinois museum) is a county museum, located in Grenoble (France). The museum was founded in 1906 by the ethnographer Hipollyte Müller. Until 1968, he was installed in the convent of Sainte-Marie-d'en-Bas in the street Très-Cloîtres. It is an ethnographic, archaeological and historical museum, covering the territory of the former province of Dauphiné. In a 17th century monastery, visitors can visit the chapel of Sainte-Marie-d'en-Haut with a rich baroque decoration.

The Musée de la Révolution française de Vizille is a departmental museum on the French Revolution, located in the French town of Vizille, 15 kilometres to the south of Grenoble, on the route Napoléon. It was set up in 1984 in the Château de Vizille, former home of the dukes of Lesdiguières (17th century), the Perier family (1782–1895) and the presidents of France (1924–1972) - it also hosted the gathering of three estates of the Dauphiné on 21 July 1788, known as the Assembly of Vizille.

The Château de Vizille is a castle in the French town of Vizille near Grenoble. It is one of the most prestigious and important castles of the Dauphiné Region. The Dauphiné was traditionally the homeland of the inheritor of the French throne since the 14th century. Today the Château de Vizille houses the Musée de la Révolution française de Vizille.
