Palais des Sports (Grenoble)
Palais des Sports, known also as the Palais des sports Pierre Mendes is an indoor ice hockey arena, in Grenoble, France. It was built in 1967 and holds 12,000 people. The figure skating events and some ice hockey games at the 1968 Winter Olympics were held at this arena called for the event Stade de glace. The arena hosted the 1979 FIBA European Champions Cup final in front of a crowd of 15,000, the 1983 final of the same competition and also the 1985 and 1988 Cup Winners' Cup final.

Stade Lesdiguières
Stade Lesdiguières is a multi-purpose stadium in Grenoble, France. The stadium holds 12,000. It is the home of the FC Grenoble rugby union club. The name of the stadium was given in honor of François de Bonne, Duke of Lesdiguières, died in 1626. The Stadium is made up of 5 stands, the largest of which is the Tribune Présidentielle to the south. The Tribune Tennis is on the east side, so called because it is next to a tennis club, and is the only stand which is uncovered.

Cularo
Cularo was the name of the Gallic city of Grenoble until 381. From this date it will be called Gratianopolis. The first reference to Grenoble dates back to July 43 BC. At that time the small town was called Cularo and had been founded by the Gallic people known as the Allobroges. In 292 the western emperor Maximian built walls around the town after elevating it to the rank of “city”.

Grenoble–Montmélian railway
The railway from Grenoble to Montmélian is a 52 km long railway in southeastern France. It was built by the PLM and opened on 15 September 1864 (as a double track) to provide a link between Grenoble and Montmélian. In September 1991 it was electrified between Grenoble and Gières and electrification of the whole line is planned.

Stade des Alpes
Stade des Alpes is a football stadium in Grenoble, France. The stadium holds 20,068 and hosts the home games of Grenoble Foot 38, as well as some games of the FC Grenoble rugby club. Situated in Parc Paul Mistral, it replaced their stadium Stade Lesdiguières. This stadium uses solar panels and produces more than 70,000 kWh per year. The first goal scored there was by Ivorian striker Franck Dja Djedje, then at Grenoble on loan from Paris Saint-Germain F.C..

The lycée Champollion or "Champo" is a French secondary school and higher education establishment in Grenoble, at 1 Cours La Fontaine, one block from the Place Victor Hugo. Its present director is M. Coppere. The second oldest lycée in Grenoble (after the lycée Stendhal, where the linguist Jean-François Champollion was educated), the lycée Champollion is best known for the quality of its classes préparatoires, making it the traditional school for the elites of Dauphiné and Savoy.

The lycée Stendhal, formerly Cité scolaire Stendhal, is a secondary and higher education establishment in Grenoble. It is the oldest lycée in Grenoble, and its pupils have included Stendhal (after whom it is now named) and Champollion. It is located at 1 bis, place Jean-Achard, and can be visited by the public on certain Saturdays.
Île Verte (Grenoble)
L'Île Verte is a neighborhood in Grenoble, located in a bend in the Isère river. It is relatively independent from downtown. The district is one of the most heavily populated in the town, due primarily to the large apartments (three large towers, as well as an ?S-shaped apartment complex). The area is mostly residential, but the Police Headquarters (Hotel de Police) is also located here.

The Six Days of Grenoble (French: Six jours cyclistes de Grenoble) is a six-day track cycling race held annually in Grenoble, France. Since 2012, the competition is called Four Days of Grenoble. It takes place in the Palais des Sports in Grenoble since 1971. The event is scheduled to take place the last week in October.
Musée dauphinois
The Musée dauphinois (Dauphinois museum) is a county museum, located in Grenoble (France). The museum was founded in 1906 by the ethnographer Hipollyte Müller. Until 1968, he was installed in the convent of Sainte-Marie-d'en-Bas in the street Très-Cloîtres. It is an ethnographic, archaeological and historical museum, covering the territory of the former province of Dauphiné. In a 17th century monastery, visitors can visit the chapel of Sainte-Marie-d'en-Haut with a rich baroque decoration.

1950 Tête de l'Obiou C-54 crash
The Tête de l'Obiou accident was an airliner crash in France on 13 November 1950. Curtiss Reid Flying Services had been operating a scheduled service between Paris and Rome since 1945. On November 13, 1950, a Paris-bound Douglas C-54B-1-DC aircraft crashed on the Tête de l'Obiou mountain, 48 km south of Grenoble. All 45 passengers and 7 crew were killed. The aircraft was 50 miles off course.
Saint Roch Cemetery
Saint Roch Cemetery is the first municipal cemetery in the city of Grenoble, France. Blessed by the bishop of Grenoble Claude Simon on 19 August 1810. It is the largest cemetery in the city with 13 ha . Located rue du Souvenir, alongside the Isère, in the district of Île Verte, it is the only cemetery intramural city and has currently 25,000 graves over an area of 13 hectares . The city has another cemetery, that of Grand Sablon, on the neighboring city of La Tronche.
La Patinoire Municipale
La Patinoire Municipale (English: The Municipal Ice Rink) is an indoor ice venue located in Grenoble, France. Completed in 1963, it hosted some of the ice hockey competitions for the 1968 Winter Olympics. During those games, it seated 2700. The venue also hosted the 1964 European Figure Skating Championships. In 2001, the building became a gymnasium called Halle Clemenceau.
L'Anneau de Vitesse
L'Anneau de Vitesse (English: The Speed Circuit) is an outdoor speed skating venue located in Grenoble, France. It hosted the speed skating events for the 1968 Winter Olympics. This Speed Circuit is located in a park of 27 hectares, the Park Paul Mistral. The park also hosts the Palais des sports was the main Olympic site in the city in 1968. The venue seated 2500 during the games, and was cooled to −7 °C using 125 km of ammonia refrigeration over a total skating surface of 9,000 m .

Couvent des Minimes de Grenoble
The Couvent des Minimes de Grenoble, is a former religious building constructed from 1644 by the contemplative order of the Minims, located rue du Vieux Temple in Grenoble, France. Occupied by several institutions since the expulsion of his religious during the French Revolution, it is currently used as a dormitory and chapel as a place of musical culture, particularly as the base of the Les Musiciens du Louvre group.
