Saint-Claude Cathedral
Saint-Claude Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, Saint-Paul et Saint-André de Saint-Claude) is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and a national monument of France, located in the town of Saint-Claude. The present cathedral was previously the church of the former Condat Abbey (founded in the 5th century), which with the village that grew up round it soon acquired however the name of Saint-Oyand or Saint-Oyend after Saint Eugendus (d. 510), fourth abbot and a popular saint.
Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint-Claude
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint-Claude, is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in France. The diocese corresponds in territory to the department of Jura. It was created in 1742, as a smaller area, mostly consisting of some parishes previously controlled by the Abbey of Sainte-Claude. Under the Concordat of 1802 it was included in the Archdiocese of Besançon; in 1822 it was again independent.

Allondon
The Allondon is a river which flows for some 22 kilometres between France and Switzerland in the Rhône Alps area. Its source is located in the commune of Échenevex in the Ain department and ends in the river Rhône at the village of Russin in the canton of Geneva of Switzerland. It is home to the only recently known population of the rare insect Lachesilla rossica.
Valserine
The river Valserine is a tributary of the Rhone that flows for 48 kilometres from the Col de la Faucille in the Jura Mountains to its confluence with the Rhone at Bellegarde-sur-Valserine. The Valserine valley has great charm and includes the Pont-des-Pierres that spans the river between Montanges and Mulaz, and the pertes de la Valserine, a canyon in which during the dry season the Valserine runs underground.
Fort l'Écluse
The Fort l'Écluse (or Fort de l'Écluse) is close to the village of Collonges, Ain in Eastern France. It commands the Rhone valley and is a natural entrance into France from Switzerland between the Vuache hills and the Jura Mountains. The fort was founded by a Duke of Savoy, and completed by Vauban in the reign of Louis XIV. It was destroyed by the Austrians in 1815, but was rebuilt by the French, and at the same time considerably strengthened and heightened.

Arpitania refers to the lands where the Arpitan language is spoken or used to be the prevalent idiom, but Arpitania is not a country or a nation. Arpitania and Arpitan Language are retronyms. They were neologisms from the 20th century. It was initially used for the Alpine regions where Arpitan was spoken. The name was popularised by Mouvement Harpitanya, a left-wing political grouping in Aosta Valley in 1970s. In 1990s, the term lost its particular political context.
Gare de Bellegarde
Bellegarde station is a railway station served by TGV, TER Rhône-Alpes and Rhône Express Regional located in Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, in the département of Ain, France. It hosts about 75,000 travelers per year. The first station building opened in 1858 to allow a stop on the line between Seyssel and Geneva. The wooden building was destroyed by fire and requiring the construction of a new building in 1907. Over the years, other lines reached to the station, causing passenger numbers to grow.
