Oulunkylä
Oulunkylä (Swedish: Åggelby, also known as Ogeli or Oglu) is a suburb and a neighbourhood of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is located 6 kilometres north from the center of the city. It has been inhabited since the 13th century. Earlier an independent municipality, it was made part of Helsinki in 1946. A rink used for speed skating and bandy is located in Oulunkylä. It was the 1st artificial ice pad for those sports in Finland. The Bandy World Championships has been hosted here.
Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture
Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture (Finnish: Aalto-yliopiston taiteiden ja suunnittelun korkeakoulu; Swedish: Aalto-universitetets högskola för konst, design och arkitektur), was formed of two separate schools: the faculty of architecture (previously part of the Helsinki University of Technology) and TaiK. TaiK was the largest art university in the Nordic countries, and was founded in 1871.
Arabianranta
Arabianranta or Arabiastranden ("coast of Arabia") is a fast growing residential part of Helsinki, Finland. It is bound by Vanhankaupunginlahti bay from east, and connects to neighboring boroughs of Vanhakaupunki in north, Hermanni in south and Toukola and Kumpula in west. Officially it is part of the greater Toukola region. On the other side of the bay lies a popular natural reserve, Viikki.
Media Lab Helsinki
The Media Lab is a unit focusing on digital design within the Department of Media at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. The lab provides MA and Doctoral education, and does research on design and production of digital culture, digital media, interaction design and technologies and the effect they have on society.
Kumpula Campus
The Kumpula Campus is a science campus of University of Helsinki. The campus is located some four kilometres from the centre of Helsinki, in the Kumpula district. Completed in 2005, it currently provides study and research facilities for about 6,000 students and 1,000 teachers/researchers.
Viikki
Viikki is a neighbourhood of about 5,500 inhabitants in Helsinki, Finland. It is located at the bottom of Vanhankaupunginlahti bay, some 7–10 km from the city centre. The district hosts the Viikki Campus with four of the faculties of the University of Helsinki (biosciences, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and agriculture and forestry) as well as other university units such as research centres, science library and teacher training school. Viikki is known for its natural environment.
Vanhakaupunki
Vanhakaupunki is a neighbourhood of the city of Helsinki, Finland, to the north of Toukola. The district's name (meaning "old town") is because Helsinki was originally founded at the Vanhakaupunki area. Vanhakaupunki even appears in the new Helsinki foundation document from 1639, and the forms Gamla staden or Gammelstaden went into common use later. In contrast, the Finnish translation of the name only started appearing in the late 19th century.
Oulunkylä railway station
Oulunkylä or Åggelby is a railway station in the Oulunkylä district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Käpylä and Pukinmäki, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, about 7 km north from the Helsinki Central railway station. The station building in Oulunkylä is no longer in use for train traffic, and the station does not have ticket sales.

Pukinmäki or Bocksbacka is a railway station in the Pukinmäki district of Helsinki, Finland. It is located between the stations of Oulunkylä and Malmi, along the main railroad track from Helsinki to Riihimäki, on top of Kehä I.
Kumpula
Kumpula is a verdant neighbourhood in Helsinki, bordered by Eastern Pasila to the west, Vallila to the south, Käpylä and Koskela to the north and Toukola and Arabianranta to the east. As of January 1, 2003, Kumpula had approximately 3,600 inhabitants. Kumpula is also home to the Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool, which was built for the 1952 Summer Olympics. Kumpula also has a lot of wooden single-family houses built between the wars and apartment buildings built midway through the 1980s.
Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool
The Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool is an outdoor swimming pool located in Kumpula, Helsinki. The swimming pool was built as a practice pool for the 1952 Summer Olympics and it is Finland’s third oldest outdoor swimming pool. In 2005, the swimming pool was restored to its original appearance while the saunas and dressing rooms were modernized at the same time.
Dynamicum
Dynamicum is the name of a building on the Kumpula Campus of the University of Helsinki that is shared by the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Finnish Institute of Marine Research. Dynamicum is located in Kumpula, Helsinki. Construction on the building was completed in September 2005, at which point in time the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Finnish Institute of Marine Research moved in.
Viikki Campus
The Viikki Campus is a campus area of the University of Helsinki in Finland, focusing on biological sciences. It comprises following units: Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry Faculty of Biosciences Faculty of Pharmacy Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Institute of Biotechnology Viikki Science Library Besides these units of the University of Helsinki, the campus area also hosts the Helsinki Science Park and the Finnish Food Safety Authority.

The International Design Business Management programme (IDBM) is a joint teaching and research programme of three leading Finnish universities: the Helsinki School of Economics, the University of Art and Design Helsinki and the Helsinki University of Technology. The purpose of the programme is to bring together experts in different fields within the concept of design business management.
Toukola
Toukola is a district of Helsinki, Finland, around 4 km north of the town centre, at the port of Vanhankaupunginlahti. Toukola is part of the administrative region of Vanhakaupunki. The eldest part of the town consists mostly of wooden villas and small houses. Next to the sea, in later years, the new area of Arabianranta was built, with modern tower blocks. The population of Toukola is estimated to increase from 2,500 to over 10,000.
Vanhankaupunginselkä
Vanhankaupunginselkä (also called Vanhankaupunginlahti, Swedish: Gammelstadsfjärden) is a bay area which together with parts of adjoining Viikki district constitute a natural conservation zone near downtown Helsinki in the southern part of Finland. The area is listed in Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance, is part of European Union's Natura 2000 program and is also listed as BirdLife International's Important Bird Area.
Vantaa River
The Vantaa River is a 101-kilometre long river in Southern Finland. The river starts from the lake Erkylänjärvi in Hausjärvi and flows into the Gulf of Finland at Vanhankaupunginselkä in Helsinki. One of the tributaries of the Vantaa river is Keravanjoki that flows trough the town of Kerava north of Helsinki.
Aalto University Library
Aalto University Library is a service unit of Aalto University. The library is a scientific service organization free for everyone to use. It provides support for the diverse research, education, studying, and artistic activities of the university. Aalto University Library was established on January 1 2010, by the merger of the libraries of Helsinki University of Technology, the Helsinki School of Economics, and the University of Art and Design Helsinki.

Sosiaalikeskus Satama
Sosiaalikeskus Satama (Harbor Social Center) was a social center in Helsinki, Finland, opened in April 2009. It was located 500 metres north of the Kalasatama metro station along the Kyläsaarenkatu street, in an old customs building in the central Helsinki district of Sörnäinen, left empty when the harbor operations moved to the Vuosaari Harbor (hence the name satama, harbor). The building had 360 square metres in three stories.

All persons placed in the prison have received a sentence of at least a year. At the moment it is the only prison operating in Helsinki after the Katajanokka prison was moved to Vantaa.

It is owned and maintained by the Arcada Foundation. It offers education mostly in Swedish, but also in English.
