Varissuo
Varissuo is a district and the largest suburb of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located seven kilometres to the east of the city centre, and is the easternmost major suburb of Turku, bordering on the neighbouring city of Kaarina. Varissuo has 9,000 inhabitants, about 32 per cent of whom are foreign immigrants. It is thus the second largest district of Turku, after Runosmäki. The name consists of the words varis meaning crow and suo meaning marsh.

Turun normaalikoulu (or Norssi for short) is a school in Varissuo, an eastern suburb of Turku, Finland. It provides education from primary school (age 7) to upper secondary school (age 19). The school is authorized by the International Baccalaureate to teach in both the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. Founded in 1892, the school is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Turku.

The district's linguistic makeup is 80.78% Finnish, 3.35% Swedish, and 15.86% other.

It is located to the east of the city, between Varissuo and Itäharju and is largely a low-density residential suburb. Pääskyvuori also includes the more densely built area of Laukkavuori. The name consists of the words pääsky meaning a swallow, and vuori meaning mountain. The current population of Pääskyvuori is 4,482, and it is increasing at an annual rate of 0.18%.
Oriketo
Oriketo is a district in the Koroinen ward of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the north of the densely-built suburb of Halinen, and consists mostly of industrial area. Turku's waste processing plant is located in Oriketo, despite the staunch opposition of the residents of Räntämäki, another residential suburb located nearby. The current population of Oriketo is 120, and it is increasing at an annual rate of 5.83%.
Old Castle of Lieto
Old Castle of Lieto is a formerly fortified hill in Lieto, Finland. The original name of the castle is not known. According to excavations, the castle has been in use in the Late Bronze Age (1500–500 BCE), in Middle Iron Age (500–700 CE, contested) and in the Middle Ages up to the end of the 14th century, when it was replaced by the "new castle" in Turku harbour. It probably served as the first Swedish fortress in Finland from the mid-13th century onwards after the Second Swedish Crusade.
