VII District, Turku
The VII District is one of the central districts of Turku, Finland. It is located on the west side of the river Aura, between Aurakatu and Puistokatu. Like the neighbouring VI District, it forms part of the city's central business district. The two districts combined host a large proportion of the city's business life, particularly around the Market Square (Kauppatori, part of the VI District). Turku City Hall is located in the VII District, as well as the Turku Central Railway Station.
Turku Central railway station
The Turku Central railway station is a railway station in the VII District of Turku, Finland. It has VR services to Helsinki and towards Joensuu. The station serves approximately a million people annually. The railway station was opened in 1876, together with the newly built railway between Turku and Tampere, in a celebration attended by the future Tsar Alexander III of Russia. Services were at first only to Tampere and Toijala, and the significance of railways was rather minor.
Pohjola, Turku
Pohjola is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the north of the city centre, between Ratapihankatu and Kähäri. Turku Central railway station is located in Pohjola, and about half of the district's land area is owned by the VR railway company. The current population of Pohjola is 1,569, and it is decreasing at an annual rate of 1.27%. 12.62% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 13.77% are over 65.

Kähäri is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the northwest of the city centre. The current population of Kähäri is 934, which did not change during 2004. 17.77% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 19.27% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 93.47% Finnish, 4.93% Swedish, and 1.61% other.

Vätti is a district of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the north of the city centre. The area consists mostly of parkland, but there is also a high-density residential area in the district as well as some low-density developments. There is also an old people's home in Vätti. The current population of Vätti is 2,990, and it is decreasing at an annual rate of 0.07%. 11.30% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 30.60% are over 65.
Hansa Emporium
Hansa Emporium is a shopping centre in the city centre of Turku, in Finland. It is located in the city's VII District, next to the main Market Square. The shopping centre hosts a total of 156 businesses, including nineteen cafés and restaurants. It also contains a theatre. The Turku branch of the Stockmann department store is located in Hansa.
Stockmann, Turku
The Turku Stockmann department store is the second largest department store in the Finnish region of Finland Proper. The Turku Stockmann department store contains, in addition to Stockmann itself, an Alko store, a barbershop, a café, a kiosk, a buffet restaurant and the Academic Bookstore. The Turku Stockmann is located in connection to the Hansa shopping centre, on the avenue of Yliopistonkatu.
Turku Synagogue
Turku Synagogue in the city of Turku is one of the two synagogues in Finland. Located in the VII District, the synagogue is used by the Jewish community of Turku. The synagogue building, designed by architects August Krook and J.E. Hindersson, was completed in 1912.
Turku Orthodox Church
Turku Orthodox Church or the Church of the Holy Martyr Empress Alexandra is the main church of the Turku orthodox parish located on the northeast corner of Turku Market Square in Turku, Finland. The church was built in under plans drafted by architect Carl Ludvig Engel and was ordered by Nicholas I of Russia on 5 January 1838. Construction, which began in 1839, cost 67,886 rubles and was completed in 1845. The church was consecrated on 2 September 1845.
Puutori
Puutori, Trätorget (Swedish, lit. "wood market square") is a market square in the city centre of Turku, Finland. It measures at approximately 100x40m. It is bordered by Aninkaistenkatu/Aningaisgatan, Maariankatu/Mariegatan, Brahenkatu/Brahegatan and Sibeliuksenkatu/Sibeliusgatan. Today, it has no regular market square activity but Puutorin puolesta ry organises different events there each year.
Betel Church (Turku)
Betel Church (Finnish: Turun Adventtiseurakunta Betel-kirkko) is located in the VII District of Turku, Finland. It is a church of the Turku adventism parish. The jugend style church was completed in 1906 under the plans of Frithiof Strandell. It was later renovated under the plans of Erik Bryggman in 1927 and has a functional bell tower, among others. The church is actually quite hidden from pedestrians.
Leningradin ja Turun ystävyyden patsas
The statue of friendship between Leningrad and Turku (Finnish Leningradin ja Turun ystävyyden patsas, Swedish Staty över vänskapen mellan Leningrad och Åbo) is a statue located in Puolalanpuisto park in Turku, Finland. It was erected 1967-1968 and revealed on May 19 1969. The statue was erected in honour of the 15th town twinning anniversary between Turku and Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg). The statue depicts four figures, three men and a woman, greeting and embracing each other.
