Vaasa Station
Vaasa Railway station 29th 2009 (ca. 14:40 EEST). Vaasa was called "Nikolaistadt" (Nikolainkaupunki) 1855-1917. The old sign of the city is nowadays at the waiting room of the station.

The University of Vaasa is a multidisciplinary, business-oriented university in Vaasa, Finland. The campus of the university is situated by the Gulf of Bothnia adjacent to downtown Vaasa. The university has evolved from a school of economics founded in 1968 to a university consisting of three faculties: Faculty of Business Studies, Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Technology.
Grönvik
Grönvik, previously Sumpviken, is a village and part of the village of Iskmo in the municipality of Korsholm, western Finland. The village lies on a stretch of coast, approximately 3 km long, stretching a few hundred metres up country, and around 500 metres along the Jungsundvägen road, with about a hundred metres of area around the road being inhabited. Road 724, Alskatvägen, passes through the village. The third named road found in Grönvik is Långkärrvägen.
Söderfjärden
Söderfjärden is a plain in Ostrobothnia, western Finland, just 10 kilometres south of the town of Vaasa. The plain is located in an impact crater some 560 million years old. The crater has a diameter of 6.6 km and a maximum depth of 300 metres. It is filled with Cambrian sandstones leaving only the outer rim visible. There is also a central uplift, which is buried. After rising from the sea due to post-glacial rebound, Söderfjärden was a wetland but was later drained.
Vaasa Arena
Vaasa Arena is an arena in Vaasa, Finland. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and is the home arena of Sport. It opened in 1971 and holds 4,448 people, but plans are ready to expand the capacity. Some extra seats were installed before the SM-league qualification series in spring 2009. The arena has three ice hockey rinks, the only three-rink arena in Finland. The main arena has a capacity of 4,448 (ice hockey). The two practice rinks have only got limited areas for the public.

Hietalahti Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Vaasa, Finland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Vaasan Palloseura. The stadium holds 4,600 and was built in 1935.

Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu VAMK, University of Applied Sciences is an international higher education institution educating Bachelors of Business Administration, Engineering, Hospitality Management and Social Services as well as Registered Nurses and Public Health Nurses in Finnish, Swedish and English for the demanding needs of the working life. VAMK has approximately 3,300 students enrolled and a staff of circa 250 members.
Korsholma Castle
Korsholm Castle (Finnish: Korsholman linna, Swedish: Korsholm slott, also known as Chrysseborg) was a medieval castle in Vaasa, Finland. It was probably built in the 1370s. Today a low mound is all that remains of the castle.
Aero Flight 311
Aero Flight 311 (AY311), often referred to as the Koivulahti air disaster, was a scheduled domestic passenger flight operated by Aero O/Y between Kronoby, Finland and Vaasa. The aircraft, a Douglas DC-3C, crashed near Kvevlax on January 3, 1961, killing all twenty-five people on board. The disaster remains the deadliest civilian aviation accident in the history of Finland.
Kvevlax
Kvevlax, is a church village in the municipality of Korsholm, Finland. It is located approximately 15 kilometres north of the city of Vaasa. Kvevlax became an independent parish in 1857. Until 1 January 1973 it was an independent municipality. Kvevlax has a lower grade primary education school, a kindergarten, a running track and an ice rink. There are two local grocery shops, a library and a bank.
Korsholm Church
Korsholm Church is a church building in the city of Vaasa, in the region of Österbotten in Finland. Originally the building was built for the Court of Appeal between 1776 and 1786, and designed by Carl Fredrik Adelcrantz. After the city, including the church, burnt down in 1852, the building was rebuilt as a church under the direction of Carl Axel Setterberg, who worked as a county architect for the county of Vasa.

Its shell is made of logs and the facade of wooden deals, on top of birch bark. It remains on the same location as where it was built. The year of construction and first owner of the mansion are not known, though it is assumed that it was built around 1780, for an associate judge of appeal in Vaasa, Johan Casimir de la Chapelle.
