Zero wind take off from Saana, Kilpisjärvi, Finland
The day was not much for a mention. No wind and occasional snow. We took a glide from Saana to Kilpisjärvi lake. The pilot is Kimmo Valkonen and over going pilot is Mauri Kuosmanen.

Lake Kilpisjärvi
Kilpisjärvi is a lake located at the north-western tip of Finland and northernmost Sweden. Treriksröset, the point where the borders of Finland, Sweden and Norway join is located some 2.5 kilometres northwest from the lake. The lake is divided into two parts, Kilpisjärvi and Alajärvi (Vuolit Gilbbesjávri). Being located on the Scandinavian Mountains, the lake is surrounded by numerous fells, most notably Saana.

The Kilpisjärvi Atmospheric Imaging Receiver Array (KAIRA) is an astronomical observatory affiliated with Oulu University. It is located at Kilpisjärvi, Enontekiö near the border with Norway. It comprises two LOFAR radio telescope systems.
