Heliopolis (ancient)
Heliopolis was one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt, the capital of the 13th Lower Egyptian nome that was located five miles (8 km) east of the Nile to the north of the apex of the Nile Delta. Heliopolis has been occupied since the Predynastic Period, with extensive building campaigns during the Old and Middle Kingdoms. Today it is mostly destroyed; its temples and other buildings were used for the construction of medieval Cairo.
Al-Rifa'i Mosque
The Al-Rifa'i Mosque, is located in Cairo, Egypt, in Midan al-Qal'a, adjacent to the Cairo Citadel. The building is located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates from around 1361, and was architecturally conceived as a complement to the older structure. This was part of a vast campaign by the 19th century rulers of Egypt to both associate themselves with the perceived glory of earlier periods in Egypt's Islamic history and modernize the city.
Cairo International Stadium
Cairo International Stadium or "Stad El-Qahira El-Dawly", is an Olympic-standard, multi-use stadium with an all-seated capacity of 75,000. It is the Arab World's third largest (after 5 Juillet 1962 Stadium in Algiers and after Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria). It is the foremost Olympic-standard facility befitting the role of Cairo, Egypt as the center of events in the region. It is also the 69th largest stadium in the world.

Cairo Military Academy Stadium
The Cairo Military Academy Stadium is located in Cairo, Egypt and has a total capacity of 22,000. It was one of six stadiums to be used in the 2006 African Cup of Nations, held in Egypt. Seven miles up the road from Cairo International Stadium, heading for Cairo International Airport, there is the Cairo Military Academy Stadium at the far end of Orouba Street in the north-eastern Heliopolis district of Cairo.
Ain Shams
Ain Shams or Ein Shams (عين شمس ˁAyn Šams) is a suburb of Cairo, Egypt. The name means "eye of the sun" in Arabic, with reference to the fact that Ain Shams is built on top of the ancient city of Heliopolis, once the spiritual centre of ancient Egyptian sun-worship. Heliopolis (Cairo suburb)
Modern Heliopolis (literally "New Egypt") is an upscale district in Cairo, Egypt. The city was established in 1905 by the Heliopolis Oasis Company, headed by the Belgian industrialist Édouard Louis Joseph, Baron Empain, as well as Boghos Nubar, son of the Egyptian Prime Minister Nubar Pasha.

Unknown Soldier Memorial in (Cairo) is a pyramid-shaped monument in Nasr City, Cairo. The site was also chosen for the president's tomb after his assassination in October 1981.
El-Quba
El-Quba is a district of Cairo, Egypt. It is famous for having two major palaces that were once the residences of the King Faruk. Along with the Tahra Palace, the Quba Palace is said to be the largest palace in Egypt. They are both still used today as official residences for high-level delegations. The district was once a rich neighborhood with enormous mansions covering the area. Today, high blocks cover the once richly gardened district.
Heliopolis Palace
The Heliopolis Palace is one of the Egyptian presidential palaces and residences for the executive office of President of Egypt. It is located in the suburb of Heliopolis, northeast of central Cairo and east of the Nile in Egypt. It was built as the grand Heliopolis Palace Hotel in 1910.
Koubbeh Palace
Koubbeh Palace, is one of the various Egyptian palaces which currently serve as the country's official guest house for visiting dignitaries. The palace was most likely originally built in the mid-19th century and sold to Khedive Ismail in 1866 by his brother Mustafa Fazl Pasha. It is situated several kilometers north of downtown Cairo, Koubbeh Palace was originally surrounded by agricultural fields and rural villages.

Al-Matariyyah, Mataria or El Matariya is a district in the northern region of Greater Cairo, east of the Nile, in Egypt. The district is unrelated to the El Matareya coastal region in the Dakahlia Governorate. The Al-Matariyyah district's location was part of the ancient city of Heliopolis, one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt.
