Al-Hakim Mosque
Al-Jam`e Al-Anwar also Al-Hakim Mosque is a major Islamic religious site in Cairo, Egypt. It is named after Imam Al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah (985–1021), the sixth Fatimid caliph,16 th Fatimid/Ismaili Imam and the first to be born in Egypt. The mosque was originally built as an enclosure by the Fatimid vizier Gawhar Al-Siqilli (c. 928–992), but was incorporated into the extended fortifications built by Badr al-Jamali. It consists of an irregular rectangle with four arcades surrounding the courtyard.

St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral is located in the Abbassia District in Cairo, Egypt. It is the seat of the Coptic Orthodox Pope. It was built during the time when Pope Cyril VI of Alexandria was Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church and inaugurated by Pope Cyril in 1968.
Ramses Station
Ramses Railway Station is the main railway station of Cairo, Egypt. The name is derived from the Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Ramses II whose statue was erected by Nasser on the square in 1955. The station was formerly known as Misr Station. The original railway station was built as the terminal of the first rail link from Alexandria to Cairo in 1856. The current building was erected in 1892 and upgraded in 1955. As of January 2001 it was undergoing a major modernisation.

One of these is the Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral (Azbakeya), which was inaugurated by Pope Mark VIII in 1800. and served as the seat of the Coptic Pope in Cairo from 1800 to 1971. Azbakeya was the place were the first Cairo Opera House was established, until it was burnt in 1970.

El Daher, or El Zaher, is one of the districts of Cairo, Egypt. It neighbours the districts of Abbaseya and Sakakini. El Zaher is named after al-Malik al-Zahir Rukn al-Din Baibars al-Bunduqdari, who was a Mamluk Sultan of Egypt and Syria, whose memoirs were recorded in the a long Arabic folkloric tale Sirat al-Zahir Baibars.

Elsahel is an administrative region forming more than half of Shobra in Cairo, Egypt. Rod Elfarag neighbours the River Nile to the west, Road El Farag and Shobra (administrative region) to the south, Sharabeya to the east and separated by El Ismaeleya water canal from Qalyubia to the north. Elsahel hosts two of Cairo's largest hospitals: Nasser Institute for Search and Treatment Hospital, and the older Alsahel Teaching Hospital, which is named after the area.

Faggala is a district of Cairo, Egypt near Ramesis Square. It has long been an important center for book publishing, perhaps the largest in the country. It is also an important religious center for the Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt.
Bab al-Futuh
Bab al Futuh is a gate in the walls of the Old City of Cairo, Egypt, facing north. It was finished in the year 1087. It stands at the northern end of Muizz Street. The gate was part of fortification built by Commander/Vizier Badr al-Jamali of Fatimid Imam/caliph Mustansir. Name 'Futuh' indicate it as victory gate. Its rounded towers were a stronger defense than the square towers of Bab al-Nasr (another Old City gate, just to the east).
Bayt Al-Suhaymi
Bayt Al-Suhaymi ("House of Suhaymi") is an old Ottoman era house museum in Cairo, Egypt. It was originally built in 1648 by Abdel Wahab el Tablawy along the Darb al-Asfar, a very prestigious and expensive part of Medieval Cairo. In 1796 it was purchased by Sheikh Ahmed as-Suhaymi whose family held it for several subsequent generations. The Sheikh greatly extended the house from its original through incorporating neighbouring houses into its structure.
Beshtak Palace
Beshtak Palace is a palace and museum in Cairo, Egypt. It represents Arabic architecture in the medievial period in Egypt. It was built in 1334 by Amir Beshtak al-Nasiri. The palace is located on the Muizz Street, next to the Katkhuda Sabil. The museum inside documents the history of Cairo.
Bab al-Nasr, Cairo
Bab al-Nasr, in Islamic Cairo is a massive fortified gate with rectangular stone towers flanking the semicircular arch of the eastern Portal. The original Bab al-Nasr was built south of the present one by Fatimid general Jawhar as-Siqilli under Imam Moiz when the city was first laid out.
Sabil-Kuttab of Katkhuda
Sabil-Kuttab of Katkhuda is one of the most important monuments in the old part of Islamic Cairo, Egypt. This building is an example of Ottoman and Mamluk architecture mixed with Islamic architecture. It was built in 1744 by a pioneer Egyptian architect, Katkhuda of Egypt ('Abd al Rahman Katkhuda'). Some architects describe it as "The treasure of Ottoman architecture".

Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine
Ain Shams University, Faculty of Medicine or School of Medicine, is a public Egyptian graduate school and one of the faculties of Ain Shams University. Now, it is one of the largest educational medical institutions in Africa and the Middle East. It was founded in 1947, making it the third oldest medical school in Egypt.
Al Musafir Khana Palace
The Musafir Khana Palace also known as the Musafirkana Palace was built in Cairo, Egypt between 1779 and 1788 by Mahmud Muharram; a wealthy merchant. Muhammad Ali Pasha bought the palace in early 19th century to use as a royal guesthouse. It was the birthplace of his grandson Khedive Ismai'l 1830-1895. In 1998, it burned to the ground. It was an excellent example of the Ottoman Style.
Ramses College
Ramses College for Girls, founded as the American College for Girls is an Egyptian school located at Ramses Square in Cairo, Egypt. One of the Evangelical Church of Egypt (Synod of the Nile) Schools for girls only. It is a private language school that teaches the government program starting from kindergarten to secondary levels. French is taught from 1st primary as a 2nd language.
Aqmar Mosque
Al-Jam`e Al-ِAqmar or Al-Aqmar Mosque, also called Gray mosque, is a mosque in Cairo, Egypt dating from the Fatimid era. It was built in the under vizier al-Ma'mun al-Bata'ihi during the caliphate of Imam Al-Amir bi-Ahkami l-Lah. The mosque is located on north Muizz Street.
Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University
Faculty of Engineering, ain shams university, is the oldest faculty in Ain Shams University, and one of the first engineering schools in Modern Egypt. It is located in Abdu Basha sq. , El Sarayat Street, a 15-minute walk from the main campus of the university in Abassiya sq. , Now its large campus houses the school of engineering and a small stadium.
Maimonides Synagogue
The Maimonides Synagogue, also known as the Rav Moshe Synagogue, is a historic synagogue located in Cairo, Egypt. A synagogue has existed at the site since the 10th century and was subsequently named after the famous Jewish philosopher, rabbi and physician Maimonides, after his arrival there in around 1168. It is believed that Maimonides' original tomb is contained within the building.
