Laudat is a small village in the interior of Dominica, nestled between 3 mountains: Morne Watt, Morne Micotrine, and Morne Trois Pitons. With a population of just above 300 persons, Laudat is referred to as a "gateway" because it is the sole entry point to many of the islands most spectacular sights, including the Boiling Lake, Fresh Water Lake, and Titou Gorge, among others. Dominica State College
Dominica State College, formerly Clifton Dupigny Community College, is a national college, located in the northern part of Roseau, Dominica in the Stock Farm area of the city. It is located just to the southeast of the Stock Farm Prison and northeast of Princess Margaret Hospital. It was named after the pioneer of universal education in Dominica, Clifton Dupigny, but was reestablished and renamed in September 2002.
Stock Farm Prison
Stock Farm Prison, also known as Her Majesty's Prison, is the national prison of the Caribbean island of Dominica. It lies in the northern part of the city of Roseau, in the Stock Farm neighborhood, just to the northwest of Dominica State College. As of 2010 it had a prison population of 289, up from 229 in 1992, which, given its size, is severely overcrowded. As of 2010 it was directed by Denis A. Blanc, under the Dominica Prison Service.
