Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality
Lyngby-Taarbæk Kommune (the spelling Lyngby-Tårbæk Kommune is occasionally used) is a municipality in Region Hovedstaden near Copenhagen on the east coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 39 km², and has a total population of 51,449 (2008). Its mayor as of 2010 is Søren P. Rasmussen, a member of the Liberal Party (Venstre) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Kongens Lyngby.
Lyngby Stadion
Lyngby Stadion is a combined football and athletics stadium in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark. It is owned by the municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk. It is the home of the football club Lyngby Boldklub, and Trongårdens IF athletics association. The stadium has a capacity of approximately 8,000. The stadium was taken in use for Lyngby in 1949 and it consists of two stands, the "old" and the "new" stand. The old stand was built in 1968 and the new stand, which primarily is a no-seated stand followed.

DTU Fotonik, Department of Photonics Engineering is a department at the Technical University of Denmark. In 2012, about 210 researchers are employed at DTU Fotonik, including about 55 PhD Students. The department is currently headed by Lars-Ulrik Aaen Andersen after the former director Anders Bjarklev became first Provost and then President of the university.

DTU Nanotech before 2008 called MIC•DTU is a research institute of micro- and nanotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Kongens Lyngby, ten kilometers north of Copenhagen. MIC represents a research environment where micro and nanotechnology are applied to a wide range of scientific disciplines, e.g. mechanics, optics, chemistry, and the life sciences. MIC has access to a cleanroom, chemical laboratories, biochemical laboratories, and optical laboratories.
Center for Electron Nanoscopy
The Center for Electron Nanoscopy (CEN) is a state-of-the-art center for electron microscopy at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Inaugurated in December 2007, the institute was funded by a donation of DKK100 million from the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation. DTU CEN houses 7 new electron microscopes built by FEI Company ranging from a standard scanning electron microscope to two highly specialized Titan transmission electron microscopes.

Brede Works
The National Museum of Denmark's new museum, Brede Works, lies in the countryside just north of Copenhagen in Denmark's largest, protected industrial plants. At the museum of Industrial culture, the visitors can be guided around by its own virtual person between old machines, hear how Denmark became an industrial society and even try to work at an assembly line. The exhibitions show the industrial development which has changed the everyday lives of the Danes over the past few centuries.
