Hlučín Region
Hlučín Area is a part of Czech Silesia in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, named after the largest town Hlučín. Its area is 316.9 square kilometres, in 2001 was inhabited by 73,914 citizens, thus the population density was 233 per km².
Technical University of Ostrava
The Technical University of Ostrava (or Vysoká škola báňská – Technická univerzita Ostrava in Czech), is a university located in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. The institution was founded on 23 January 1849 as the Mining Academy in Příbram. In 1894 it was promoted to university status and in 1904 it was renamed to Vysoká škola báňská. In 1945 it was moved to Ostrava, then the centre of Czechoslovak mining industry.

The village was administratively joined to Ostrava in July 1961, after that the large food-processing plant was constructed there.
