Čakovec
Čakovec is a city in northern Croatia, located around 90 kilometres north of Zagreb, the Croatian capital. Čakovec is both the county seat and largest city of Međimurje County, the northernmost, smallest and most densely populated Croatian county.
Šenkovec
Šenkovec is a municipality in Međimurje County, Croatia, located just outside the county seat, Čakovec. The municipality includes two villages – Šenkovec and Knezovec. In the 2001 census, the two villages were populated by a total of 2,770 people, most of whom are Croats. The seat of the municipality is in Šenkovec, a suburban village located approximately 2 kilometers to the north-west from the centre of Čakovec. The main road between Čakovec and Mursko Središće goes through the village.

Strahoninec is a municipality in Međimurje County, Croatia. Strahoninec is the only village in the municipality. Also part of the municipality is the hamlet of Poleve, located just over a kilometre south of the village. In the 2001 census, the municipality had a population of 2,728. Of the entire population, a total of 2,645 people (97%) identified themselves as Croats.
Škola Animiranog Filma
Škola Animiranog Filma (ŠAF) is a school of animation located in Čakovec, Croatia. The program's intent is not career development, but to promote cognition, imagination, perseverance, cooperation and pride in one's work for children between the ages of 8 and 12 years old. Edo Lukman has been the head of the school since its founding on February 28, 1975. Since then, over a hundred animated short films have been created by more than 500 children enrolled in the program.
Šenkovec, Zagreb County
Šenkovec is a naselje (settlement) in the municipality of Brdovec, Zagreb County, Croatia. According to the 2001 census, it has 733 inhabitants living in an area of 0.90 square kilometers . It was the site of a Yugoslav Partisan massacre of civilians at the and of World War II in 1945, which killed approximately 500 people, with the Partisans burying the bodies in an anti-tank trench.
Čakovec Castle
Čakovec Castle or Zrinski Castle (Croatian: Čakovečka utvrda or Stari grad Zrinskih) is a castle in Čakovec, northern Croatia. The castle is located in Zrinski Park, not far from the city's central square. It was built in the 13th century by Count Dimitrius Csáky, after whom the city of Čakovec is named. It was later owned by many others, including the House of Lacković, the Counts of Celje as well as the Counts of Ernušt, Counts of Zrinski, Althan, Feštetić and others.
Feštetić Castle
Feštetić Castle (Croatian: Dvorac Feštetić or Kaštel Feštetić) is a castle in Pribislavec, a village next to the town of Čakovec, northern Croatia. It was built most probably in the 16th century and owned by the members of the Zrinski family almost till the end of the 17th century. The name of the castle comes from the Croato-Hungarian Feštetić family, who possessed it from 1791 until 1923.
