Dražen Petrović
Dražen Petrović (October 22, 1964 – June 7, 1993) was a Yugoslav and Croatian professional basketball player. A shooting guard, he initially achieved success playing professional basketball in Europe in the 1980s before joining the American NBA in 1989. Petrović died in a car accident at the age of 28.

Podsljeme
Podsljeme is in the foothills of Zagreb's mountain Medvednica and its name means "under Sljeme" (Sljeme is the peak of the Medvednica mountain). It has the status of četvrt (quarter, neighbourhood) and as such has an elected council. The historic Medvedgrad castle is located in the district of Črnomerec, west of Podsljeme. Podsljeme had 17,744 residents in 2001. Its residents are mainly upper middle or upper class.
Gornji Grad – Medveščak
Gornji Grad – Medveščak is one of the districts of Zagreb, Croatia; Gornji Grad translates as Upper Town. It is bordered by four other districts: Donji Grad in the south, Črnomerec in the west, Gornja Dubrava in the east and Podsljeme in the north. The district is located in the central part of the city and, according to the 2001 census, it has 36,384 inhabitants spread over 10.12 km, making it the sixth most densely inhabited Zagreb city district.

Nova Ves
The Nova Ves (meaning new village in archaic Croatian language) is a historic street north of the Kaptol neighborhood in Zagreb, Croatia. It is administratively within the bounds of the Gornji Grad - Medveščak city district. According to the 2001 census, the street and its surrounding area had 3,456 inhabitants. In 2009, it had a population of 3,575. From the first habitation to date, the street has a rich history as an important part of Zagreb ever since the beginnings of the modern city.
Gradec, Zagreb
Gradec or Grič is a part of Zagreb, Croatia, and together with Kaptol it is the medieval nucleus of the city. It is situated on the hill of Gornji Grad.
Medvedgrad
Medvedgrad (Croatian for bear-town or city of bears) is a medieval fortified town located on the south slopes of Medvednica mountain, approximately halfway from the Croatian capital Zagreb to the mountain top Sljeme. For defensive purposes it was built on a hill, Mali Plazur, that is a spur of the main ridge of the mountain that overlooks the city. On a clear day the castle can be seen from far away, especially the high main tower.

The Pantovčak street runs from the Britanski trg (British Square) near Ilica towards Medvednica, ending at Šestinski vijenac. The neighbourhood is officially referred to as "Dr. Stjepan Radić" and it has a population of 5,796. Pantovčak is best known as the location of the Croatian Presidential Palace and the adjacent park, located at Pantovčak 241.
Ribnjak, Zagreb
Ribnjak is a neighborhood in the Gornji Grad - Medveščak district of Zagreb, Croatia, directly east of the Zagreb Cathedral. According to the 2001 census, the neighborhood has 2,956 inhabitants. In 2009, the population was 1,770. It is centered mainly around its main north-south thoroughfare, the Ribnjak Street. ZET tram tracks in the Ribnjak Road pass through the neighborhood, carrying lines 8 and 14.
Tkalčićeva Street

Extending from the vicinity of the central Ban Jelačić Square to its northern end at the Little Street, the street flows between the Gornji Grad in the west and Nova Ves in the east. According to the 2001 Croatian census, the street has 1,591 inhabitants.

Amadeo's theatre
Amadeo's theatre was founded in Zagreb, Croatia in 1797 and lasted until 1834. Amadeo’s theatre was named after its founder Anton Amade de Varkony, Hungarian count and notable county prefect of Zagreb. Amadeo’s theatre was situated in the former Blatna (Mud) and Kazalisna (Theatre) Street, which afterwards got the name Demetrova. The building in which it was situated is now the Croatian Natural History Museum and, from 2000, the home of the Amadeo Theatre and Music Company.

Amadeo Theatre and Music Company started its activities in the summer of 2000 in the atrium of the Croatian Natural History Museum at Upper Town in Zagreb, Croatia. Between 1797 and 1834, that same building was the founding place of the first Croatian public theatre called Amadeo's theatre, named after its founder, the Hungarian count Anton Amade de Varkony, who was also a notable county prefect of Zagreb.
