Grande Comore
Grande Comore, officially called Ngazidja, is an island in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa. It is the largest island in the Comoros nation. Most of its population is of the Comorian ethnic group. Its population as of 2006 is about 316,600. The island's capital is Moroni, which is also the national capital. The island is made up of two shield volcanoes, with Mount Karthala being the country's highest point at 2,361 m above sea level.
Mitsamiouli
Mitsamiouli (population 6,100) is a city located on the island of Grande Comore in the Comoros. On 23 November 1996, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 made a crash-landing in the shallow waters 500 meters off shore from Le Galawa Beach Hotel in Mitsamiouli. Of the 175 passengers, 125 died, despite rescue attempts by island residents and tourists. Djoueria Abdallah, the first female member of the Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, comes from Mitsamiouli.

Chezani is a town on the island of Grande Comore in the Comoros. It is the chief town of the region of Mboinkou. On 1996, August, after a football match between Hantsindzi and Chezani, 4 persons from Hantsindzi were killed. These tragic events had led to the exclusion of Chezani population from all Ngazidja places and to the execution of Said Mohamed Fadhul (Robin), the leader of the massacre.

Stade Said Mohamed Cheikh
Stade Said Mohamed Cheikh is a multi-use stadium in Mitsamiouli, Comoros. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It was opened in 2007 as part of FIFA's Win in Africa with Africa program. It is named after former Comoros head, Said Mohamed Cheikh. It replaced Stade de Beaumer as the home of the Comoros national football team. It was the first stadium in the Comoros to host a CAF Champions League match.

La Grille is a volcano in the Comoros is located in the Comoros archipelago on the island of Grande Comore (also known as Ngazidja). La Grille is a shield volcano at the northern end of island and lacks a summit caldera like its larger and more well-known neighbor to the south, Karthala volcano. The basaltic La Grille volcano also contrasts with Karthala in its abundance of pyroclastic cones up to 800m in height.
