Bogotá
Bogotá, Distrito Capital, from 1991 to 2000 called Santafé de Bogotá, is the capital, and largest city, of Colombia. It is also designated by the national constitution as the capital of the department of Cundinamarca, though the city of Bogotá now comprises an independent capital district and no longer belongs administratively to that department. Bogotá is the most populous city in the country, with 7,363,782 inhabitants as of 2010.

The Congress of the Republic of Colombia (Spanish: Congreso de la República de Colombia) is the name given to Colombia's bicameral national legislature. The Congress of Colombia consists of the 102-seat Senate (Senado), and the 166-seat Chamber of Representatives (Cámara de Representantes). Members of both houses are elected by popular vote to serve four-year terms.

Capitolio Nacional
Capitolio Nacional (or National Capitol) is a building on Bolivar Square in central Bogotá, the construction of which began in 1876, by order of president Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera, and was not concluded until 1926. It houses both houses of the Congress of Colombia. It was designed and started its construction by Thomas Reed.

Luis Ángel Arango Library, is a public library located in Bogotá, Colombia. It was founded in 1923 as a small library with a few books on economics. It is currently under the administration of the Bank of the Republic. Today, its collection has grown to the point where it has become the country's premier library and it has come to be considered to be the most important public library in Latin America.

Torre Colpatria
Torre Colpatria (Colpatria Tower) is a 50-storey skyscraper located at the downtown area in Bogotá, Colombia. It is the tallest building in the country and the second in South America. It was constructed from 1978 until 1979, and has a total height of 196 metres . The main headquarters of Colpatria Bank are located in the building, and also a great number of other banks and financial corporations have offices in it.
1980 Dominican Embassy siege in Bogotá
The Dominican Embassy siege was the 1980 siege of the embassy of the Dominican Republic by M-19 guerrillas in Bogotá, Colombia. The guerrillas held nearly 60 people, including 14 ambassadors, hostage for 61 days.
Caracol Radio
Caracol Radio (Cadena Radial Colombiana, "Colombian Radio Network") is one of the main radio networks in Colombia. Founded in Medellín in 1948 when La Voz de Antioquia station acquired the 50% of Emisoras Nuevo Mundo, based in Bogotá. Julio Mario Santo Domingo was its main shareholder until 2004, when Spanish Grupo Prisa bought the Grupo Latino de Radio, whose 17% was Santo Domingo's.
Bolívar Square
The Bolívar Square is located in the heart of the historical area of Bogotá. It has a statue of Simón Bolívar sculpted in 1846 by the Italian Pietro Tenerani, which was the first ever public monument in the city. Plaza Bolívar is also the name given to the main square in every city or town of Venezuela, the native country of Simón Bolívar. On the Northern side of the square is the Palace of Justice, a big modern building where the Supreme Court works.
Primary Cathedral of Bogotá
The Archbishopric Cathedral of Bogotá is a Roman Catholic cathedral located at the eastern side of Bolívar Square in Bogotá, D.C. , Colombia. It is seat of the Archbishop of Bogotá, Cardinal Mon. Pedro Rubiano Saenz. The Cathedral was built between 1807 and 1823. When the Spanish conquerors officially founded the city of Bogotá, they established in 12 huts and a hay-church, that -after being totally built- would take the name of Archbishopric Cathedral of Bogotá.
Los Mártires
Los Mártires is the 14th locality of Bogotá, capital of Colombia. It is located near the city's downtown to its west. It takes its name in honor of those who died during the war for independence from Spain. It is completely urbanized, save for its parks and the banks of its rivers.
Casa de Moneda de Colombia
The Casa de Moneda de Colombia (Spanish for Colombian mint) is a Colombian currency museum based in the city of Bogotá, Cundinamarca. It was founded in 1621 as the mint ("casa de moneda" translates as "mint"). The current mint is known simply as the Fábrica de Moneda (coin factory).
Bank of the Republic (Colombia)
The Bank of the Republic (Spanish: Banco de la República) is the state-run central bank of the Republic of Colombia. Its main functions are detailed by the Congress according to the Ley 31 de 1992. One of them is the issuance of the Colombian currency, the peso. The bank is also active in promoting financial inclusion policy and is a leading member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.
Santa Fe (Bogotá)
Santa Fe is the third locality of Bogotá, Capital District of Colombia. Santa Fe is the traditional downtown of the city of Bogotá. This area once comprised Bogotá's total main urban area and was known as "Santa Fe de Bogotá" with its traditional neighborhoods. Santa Fe is one of Bogotá's most developed areas and includes the area by the Carrera Septima, one of the main arteries with most of Bogotá's skyscrapers.
Puente Aranda
Puente Aranda is the 16th location of the Capital District of the Colombian capital city, Bogotá. It is located in the midwest within the city and was named after an old bridge in the hacienda of Juan Aranda over the "Chinúa River" now called the San Francisco Creek that dates from the 16th Century. Puente Aranda has 1724 Ha of area which are almost entirely urban. This locality has more than 300,000 inhabitants, 5% of the total urban area inhabitants of Bogota.

The Leo XIII Salesian College is a private male educational institution managed by the Salesian Community in Colombia. It is headquartered in historic center of Candelaria of Bogotá, Colombia. The school was awarded the Educative Excellence Award, for the private schools category in 2006. In 2010 it celebrated its 120th anniversary.
Central Cemetery of Bogotá
Central Cemetery of Bogotá is one of the main and most famous cemeteries in Colombia located in Bogotá. Houses several national heroes, poets and former Colombian presidents. It was opened in 1836 and was declared National Monument in 1984. Some of the sculptors of the mausoleums are Tenerani and Sighinolfi.
Radioacktiva
Radioacktiva is a Colombian radio station broadcasting from Bogotá. It is owned by Caracol Radio, part of the Spanish media organization Grupo PRISA. It started broadcasting in 1989 programming both rock and pop music. In 1997 it was reformatted to focus on rock music. In 2001 it would switch frequencies with sister station Tropicana Estéreo.
Free University of Colombia
Universidad Libre is a university in Colombia initially founded under the name of Universidad Republicana in Bogota during the 19th Century. Since the original intention of this program was to offer the space for unbiased learning during a radical political period in the country, the proper translation would be Freedom University because it promotes the liberty of expression and political thoughts.
Air France Flight 422
Air France Flight 422 was a scheduled flight on 20 April 1998 by Air France from Bogotá, Colombia, to Quito, Ecuador. The Boeing 727 was destroyed, killing all 53 people on board, when it crashed into the mountains east of Bogotá because of foggy weather and low visibility after taking off from Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport. The plane was owned by TAME, the Ecuadoran airline, but leased to Air France.
W Radio (Colombia)
W Radio Colombia is a news/talk/adult contemporary Colombian radio network, part of Caracol Radio. It started in 1973 as adult contemporary station Caracol Estéreo. It is part of the W Radio system, with networks in Mexico, Los Angeles, Panama, and formerly Chile. The station is best known for its morning news show La W, presented by Julio Sánchez Cristo, Alberto Casas Santamaría, and camila zuluaga.
Quinta de Bolívar
The Quinta de Bolivar is a colonial house in Bogota, Colombia, that served as a residence to Simon Bolivar in the capital after the war of independence. It is now used as a museum dedicated to Bolivar's life and times.
