Meilan District
Meilan is a county-level district under the jurisdiction of Haikou city, in Hainan, a province of the People's Republic of China. The district's total area is 553 square kilometers, and its population was 510,000 people in 2002.
Temple of Five Lords
The Temple of Five Lords is a memorial to five officials from the Tang and Song dynasties located to the southeast of the city of Haikou on the island of Hainan, China. During the times of these dynasties, Hainan was perceived as a remote part of the empire and was used as a place for banishment for disgraced court officials. All five officials commemorated at the temple encountered such a fate, typically after losing power struggles within the imperial court.

Haidian River
The Haidian River runs through Haikou City, separating the main part of and its northern part Haidian Island, in Hainan Province, China. Its tributary is the Nandu River. There are three bridges that cross the river: Haikou Century Bridge near the mouth of the Haidian River at Haikou Bay. Renmin Bridge (人民大桥) crosses a narrow section of the Haidian River linking Changdi Road (长堤路) with Renmin Avenue (人民大道).
Lingshan, Hainan
Lingshan (灵山) is a town in Meilan District, Hainan Province, China. It is situated between the Nandu River to the west, and Guilinyang Town to the east. It has an old, busy, tree-lined centre, with a market and numerous small shops. There is a large Buddhist nunnery on the outskirts, located on the road to Guilinyang Town.

The 1.134 sq. km. island will be developed with an emphasis on sports facilities, and will include a sports park and golf course. Garden-style hotels and several bars will also be constructed.

The Nandu River Iron Bridge, also known as the Devil's Iron Bridge, Old Iron Bridge, and originally the Lui Palace Bridge, is a partially-collapsed, steel truss bridge over the Nandu River, in the north of Hainan Province, China. Opened to traffic in 1942, it was Hainan's first bridge over the Nandu River.
