Île Jésus
Île Jésus is an island in southwestern Quebec, separated from the mainland to the north by the Rivière des Mille Îles, and from the Island of Montreal to the south by the Rivière des Prairies. The second-largest (242 km²) island in the Hochelaga Archipelago (after the Island of Montreal), Île Jésus is the major component of the City of Laval, along with the Îles Laval and several other islands.

The Rivière des Prairies (literally River of the Prairies, sometimes called the The Back River in English) is a delta channel of the Ottawa River in southwestern Quebec, Canada. The Amerindians who originally inhabited the Island of Montreal called it Skowanoti, meaning “River behind the island”. Flowing west to east, it bisects the Hochelaga Archipelago and rises in the Lac des Deux-Montagnes.

De La Concorde (AMT)
De La Concorde is an commuter train station in Laval, Quebec, on the Blainville-Saint-Jerome Line of the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT), the umbrella organization that plans, integrates, and coordinates public transportation services in the Greater Montreal, Quebec, Canada area. The station was relocated here in 2007 from the Saint-Martin station, which had been 1.65 km to the north, in order to be intermodal with the new metro station of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
De la Concorde overpass collapse
The De la Concorde overpass collapse occurred at a bridge over Quebec Autoroute 19 near Montreal, Quebec, Canada, at midday on September 30, 2006. On that Saturday, around 12:30 pm, the center section of the south lane of an overpass collapsed in Laval, a suburb of Montreal, on Boulevard de la Concorde running over Autoroute 19. The collapsed section crushed two vehicles under it, killing five people and seriously injuring six others who went over the edge while travelling on the overpass.
Pont Viau
Pont Viau (Viau Bridge), also called Ahuntsic Bridge (1930, rebuilt 1962 and widened 1993) . This bridge spans the Rivière des Prairies between the Montreal borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville and the Laval neighbourhood of Pont-Viau. It is part of Route 335. About 36 000 motorists each weekday cross the bridge.
Bordeaux Railway Bridge
The Bordeaux Railway Bridge is a railway bridge on the Canadian Pacific Railway line across the Rivière des Prairies between Ahuntsic-Cartierville, on Montreal Island, and Laval-des-Rapides, Laval, Quebec, Canada. This bridge is used by freight trains of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR), the Chemins de Fer Québec-Gatineau (CFQG) and by the Blainville-Saint-Jerome Line suburban trains of the Agence métropolitaine de transport (Metropolitan Transportation Agency).
Terminus Le Carrefour (AMT)
Terminus Le Carrefour, an AMT bus terminus across boulevard Le Carrefour from the Carrefour Laval at the corner of Terry Fox Avenue. It is located one block west of Autoroute 15. A Radisson Hotel is located between Terry Fox Avenue and the Autoroute, a Hilton Hotel and a Sheraton Hotel are nearby. 226 park and ride spaces are available south of the terminus.
Cosmodome
The Cosmodome is the home to both Space Camp Canada and the Space Science Center (a museum). Space Camp Canada welcomed its first campers in July 1994 while the Space Science Center, opened its doors to the public in December 1994.
Laval (provincial electoral district)
Laval was a former provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. It was located in the Laval region north of Montreal, but for some of its history it also included parts of Montreal itself. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada). Its final election was in 1976. It disappeared in the 1981 election and its successor electoral district was Laval-des-Rapides.

The station was one of the original four stations of the temporary Blainville line opened in 1997 to serve commuters during the construction on the Marius Dufresne Bridge. The station was closed in April 2007 with the opening of the Montreal Metro in Laval, due to its proximity to the De La Concorde station, 1.65 km south. The station was located at Boulevard Saint Martin. This station had 190 parking spaces.

Papineau-Leblanc Bridge
The Papineau-Leblanc Bridge was one of the first cable-stayed spans in North America, but it never was the world-longest span of this type (at that moment it was Rheinkniebrücke in Düsseldorf). It is part of Quebec Autoroute 19 and is one of the connections between Laval and Montreal, Quebec, Canada, spanning Rivière des Prairies. It was fabricated from weathering steel and has an orthotropic deck.

Médéric Martin Bridge is a viaduct-type bridge in Quebec that spans Rivière des Prairies between Montreal and Laval. It carries 8 lanes of Quebec Autoroute 15, including 1 reserved bus and carpooling lanes. It was named after Médéric Martin, who was a Member of Parliament for St. Mary, then Mayor of Montreal. He was a resident of what is now Laval during his tenure as Mayor.

Saint-Martin is a former municipality, now part of the Chomedey neighbourhood of the city of Laval, Quebec, Canada, corresponding roughly to the Roman Catholic parish of Saint-Martin. The parish church, Église Saint-Martin, is located at 4080, boulevard Saint-Martin. The city of Laval operates Parc Saint-Martin, a public park at 4025, rue Gaboury. Saint-Martin, a commuter railway station that no longer exists, was also located here.

2000 Boulevard du Souvenir overpass collapse
On June 18, 2000, the southern portion of the Boulevard du Souvenir overpass in Laval, which crosses Quebec Autoroute 15, collapsed into the roadway, killing one and injuring two when cars were crushed underneath the structure. Sixteen beams weighing about 70 tons each fell. The highway was closed for several days while workers removed the debris. The remains of the structure were later demolished as well for safety reasons according to then–Quebec Transport Minister Guy Chevrette.
Place Bell (Laval, Quebec)
The Place Bell is a proposed multipurpose sports facility in Laval, Quebec. Planned for completion in 2014, it will include a 10,000 seat main arena and two smaller ice rinks. Laval's mayor, Gilles Vaillancourt, announced the project on February 13, 2012. The facility will be managed by Evenko, the same company that operates the Bell Centre in Montreal, home of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League.
