Royal Montreal Golf Club
The Royal Montreal Golf Club was founded in 1873 by a group of eight gentlemen in a dockside office. Eleven years later, in 1884, permission was granted by Queen Victoria to use the "Royal" prefix. The first golf course was a 9-hole layout on Fletcher's Field, part of Mount Royal Park, which was shared by the red-coated golfers and other citizens relaxing in what was then the outskirts of Montreal.

They all are part of the city of Laval since 1965. The 1 km -long Île Bigras was known since 1817 as Île Amesse, after the name of its owner Louis Amesse (different more recent maps have also shown the names Île Boiret and Île Boisvert). The island was bought in 1890 by Émilien Bigras who gave it his name.

The high school building, which opened its doors in September 1962, is named after Judge Lindsay H. Place, who was a judge in Montreal. Jacques Bizard Bridge
Jacques Bizard Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Rivière des Prairies and connects L'Île Bizard to Montreal Island. Except for a cable ferry that connects Île Bizard with Laval-sur-le-Lac, it is the only access to Île Bizard, which had a population of 13,861 as of the 2001 census. It carries three lanes of Jacques Bizard Boulevard, including one reversible lane. As of 2008, it is being widened to accommodate a bicycle path.

The Laval-sur-le-Lac–Île-Bizard Ferry is a seasonal cable ferry near to the city of Montreal in the Canadian province of Quebec. It carries cars, bicycles and pedestrians across the Rivière des Prairies from Laval-sur-le-Lac to the Île Bizard. Technically, the ferry is a reaction ferry, which is propelled by the current of the water. The ferry crosses a distance of 200 m in 3 min, and the ferry boat carries a maximum of 34 passengers and 6 vehicles.
