Kensington, Prince Edward Island
Kensington is a town located 15 kilometres northeast of Summerside in Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada; As of 2011, the population was 1,496. The area was first known as Five Lanes End, as roads from five different communities converged at the point. It was renamed Barrett's Cross in 1824 after an early settler that established an inn in the area.
Kensington Intermediate Senior High School
Kensington Intermediate Senior High School, is a Canadian secondary school in Kensington, Prince Edward Island. Opened in 1955, it was a very small school until it received a $6.7 million grant and 40,000 square feet were added. Today it hosts grades 7 through 12, dividing the junior students into grades 7-9 and the senior students into grades 10–12. The KISH school mascot is a torch, and the school motto is "Stamus Pro Veritate".
