Yonge-Dundas Square
Yonge-Dundas Square (also known as YD Square, Dundas Square or Yonge and Dundas) is a commercial junction and public square, situated at the southeast corner of the intersection of Yonge Street and Dundas Street East in Downtown Toronto. The square was first conceived by the City of Toronto in 1998 as part of revitalizing the intersection, and was designed by Brown and Storey Architects.
Dundas (TTC)
Dundas is a station of the Yonge–University–Spadina line of the Toronto subway and RT. It is located at 300 Yonge Street at Dundas Street in Toronto. Dundas is the only station in Toronto where the northbound and southbound platforms are in separate fare-paid areas, owing to the constrained space and difficult geology at this location.
Sam the Record Man
Sam the Record Man was a Canadian record store chain that, at one time, was Canada's largest music recording retailer. In 1982, its ads proclaimed that it had "140 locations, coast to coast". The Internet age, competition with the HMV chain and other factors, forced Sam the Record Man into bankruptcy on October 30, 2001, although its flagship location remained in business until June 30, 2007. One independent franchise store, in Belleville, Ontario, continues to bear the Sam the Record Man name.

It incorporates the facade of the O’Keefe House, a four storey building which was designed by Toronto architect Alfred H. Chapman in 1938-1939 for tycoon E.P. 10 Dundas East (formerly Metropolis and Toronto Life Square) is a retail, office and entertainment complex development on the north-east corner of the intersection of Yonge Street and Dundas Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The project was originally delayed several times, and sits on a large parcel of prime land in the city's commercial core, on the north side of Yonge-Dundas Square. Originally owned and developed by PenEquity Management Corp. , the complex is now owned by 10 Dundas St. Ltd.

Zanzibar Tavern
The Zanzibar Tavern in Toronto, Ontario is an adult entertainment nightclub and local landmark found on Toronto's infamous Yonge Street strip. It is one of Toronto's oldest nightclubs, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2010. The bar originally opened as live music venue, one of several on Yonge Street between Gerrard and King in the 1950s and 1960s. The Zanzibar featured jazz and blues in the early 1960s.
Empress Hotel (Toronto)
The Empress Hotel was a three storey red-brick building at the corner of Yonge and Gould streets, in downtown Toronto, that was destroyed by fire on January 3, 2011. The hotel was opened in 1888. The hotel changed hands several times. The property ceased operating as a hotel in the mid-1970s.
Sam the Record Man flagship store
The Sam the Record Man flagship store was opened in 1961 by Sam Sniderman at 347 Yonge Street, Toronto. It was the second Sam's store to be on Yonge Street, as its precursor store was at 219 Yonge Street from 1959, until the 347 location opened in late 1961. It was the best known store in the Sam the Record Man chain of 140 locations across Canada, two blocks away from the Eaton Centre and Dundas Square.
