The University of Toronto Scarborough (also known as U of T Scarborough or UTSC) is a satellite campus of the University of Toronto. Based in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the campus is set upon suburban parkland in the residential neighbourhood of Highland Creek. It was established in 1964 as Scarborough College, a constituent college of the Faculty of Arts and Science.

Highland Creek, Toronto
Highland Creek is a neighbourhood in south-east Scarborough in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that lies along the southern portion of the river of the same name. To the east are the neighbourhoods of Port Union and West Rouge, to the west West Hill and Woburn, and to the south Centennial Scarborough. The western portion of the neighbourhood is occupied by the University of Toronto Scarborough, a feature landmark in the area and a busy pedestrian centre.
Beare Road Landfill
The Beare Road Landfill was a landfill that operated in Scarborough, Ontario until 1983. The site is bounded by Finch Avenue East to the north, the Toronto-Pickering Town Line to the east, CN Rail line to the west and hydro corridor to the south. Metropolitan Toronto opened the Beare Road Landfill Site in 1967 with the approval of Scarborough Council. The 80.5-hectare site, originally with a capacity of 3.3 million tonnes, received solid waste through 1988.
