Arcadian Court

The Arcadian Court is an Art Deco event space on the eighth floor of the flagship downtown Toronto location of the Canadian department store The Bay, whose wrought iron railings, arched windows and huge chandeliers made it one of Toronto's most exclusive dining spots for many years. Three skylights allow light to enter the white wash hall interior. The facility first opened in 1929, when the store was part of the Simpson's chain.

Toronto's Old City Hall was home to its city council from 1899 to 1966 and remains one of the city's most prominent structures. Nathan Phillips Square

Nathan Phillips Square is an urban plaza that forms the forecourt to Toronto City Hall, or New City Hall, at the intersection of Queen Street West and Bay Street, and named for Nathan Phillips, mayor of Toronto from 1955 to 1962. The square opened in 1965, and, as with the City Hall, the square was designed by architect Viljo Revell. The square is the site of concerts, art displays, a weekly farmers' market, the winter festival of lights, and other public events, including demonstrations.

Lord Simcoe Hotel

Lord Simcoe Hotel was one of many of lost hotels in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1956, the 20 storey concrete and glass modernist structure was designed by Henry T. Langston and Peter Dickinson. The hotel was named for John Graves Simcoe, Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada and a resident of York, Upper Canada (now Toronto). The name was somewhat incorrect as Simcoe was never himself a Lord.

The Mail Building (Toronto)

The Mail Building was built in the 1870s and home to the newspaper The Toronto Mail (later merged with the Empire to form The Mail and Empire) at the northwest corner of Bay Street and King Street West. It was damaged by a serious fire in 1884, but fully repaired. The 4 storey building was topped with a 5 storey spire and has since been demolished.

The Old City Hall Cenotaph is a cenotaph located at the front steps of Old City Hall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Originally built after World War I to commemorate Torontonians who lost their lives in services for Canada, the memorial also commemorates those who died in World War II and the Korean War. It was modelled on The Cenotaph at Whitehall in London, England, was constructed using granite cut from the Canadian Shield and unveiled on November 11, 1925.

The Adam Beck Memorial is a memorial in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in honour of the founder of Ontario Hydro, Sir Adam Beck. Grand Opera House (Toronto)

The Grand Opera House was an opera house and concert hall located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1874 on Adelaide Street West, west of Yonge Street, the Grand Opera House was Toronto's premier concert hall during the late 19th century. Simpson Tower

The Simpson Tower, located at 401 Bay Street, is the 38th-tallest building in Toronto. Completed in 1968 by architect John B. Parkin, as the headquarters of the Simpsons department store company, it has 33 floors and is 144 metres high.
