Aldershot, Ontario
Aldershot is a community in south-central Ontario, Canada, on Burlington Bay, Lake Ontario. It is a neighbourhood of Burlington, in Halton Regional Municipality. This former unincorporated village was previously a part of East Flamborough Township until it was annexed by the City of Burlington in 1962. It has a "fiercely independent spirit" and always maintained a quality of independence and individual identity.
HMCS Haida (G63)
HMCS Haida (G63) is a Tribal-class destroyer that served in the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) from 1943-1963. Haida sank more enemy surface tonnage than any other Canadian warship. She is also the only surviving Tribal-class destroyer out of 27 vessels that were constructed between 1937-1945 for the Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy, and the RCN. She now serves as a museum ship on the waterfront of Hamilton, Ontario, and was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984.
Burlington Bay
Burlington Bay, known more commonly as Hamilton Harbour, lies on the western tip of Lake Ontario, bounded on the northwest by the City of Burlington, on the south by the City of Hamilton, and on the east by Hamilton Beach (south of the Burlington Bay James N. Allan Skyway) and Burlington Beach (north of the channel). It is joined to Cootes Paradise by a narrow channel formerly excavated for the Desjardins Canal.

Aldershot School, also known as Aldershot High School, is a grade 7-12 school located in Aldershot, Ontario. Although the current school building was constructed in the mid-1900s, the original Aldershot School was built in 1870, making the name the oldest in continual use for an educational institution in Halton region. Originally a high school (grades 9-13, later cut back to grade 12), grades 7 and 8 were added in 2001 to make use of spare capacity.
Mapleview Centre
Mapleview Centre or simply called Mapleview is a two story upscale shopping mall located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada on Maple Avenue and Fairview Street at the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW). The mall was opened in September 1990 and is owned by Ivanhoe Cambridge. The name of the mall comes from the two streets in which it is located. 2012 Burlington VIA derailment
The Burlington VIA train derailment was a derailment that occurred on February 26, 2012 in the Aldershot neighborhood of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, resulting in three deaths and 46 injuries. There were 75 passengers and four crew members on board at the time of the accident. The derailment occurred in an industrial area northeast of Aldershot GO Station.
