Legislative Assembly of Nunavut
The Legislative Assembly of Nunavut, Canada, is located in Iqaluit, and is the territory's parliament. The Legislative Assembly of Nunavut was opened by Queen Elizabeth II, as Queen of Canada, on 7 October 2002, during her Golden Jubilee tour of Canada. In her speech the Queen stated: "I am proud to be the first member of the Canadian Royal Family to be greeted in Canada's newest territory.
Inuksuk High School
Inuksuk High School is the high school of Iqaluit, the capital of the Canadian territory of Nunavut. It offers grades 9 through 12 to a student population of about 450. The focus of the school is on teaching Inuit language and culture. The original name of the school was the Gordon Robertson Education Centre, or GREC. In the early 1990s it was renamed for the Inuksuk monuments that dot the region and are a symbol of the territory.
CFFB (AM)
CFFB is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 1230 AM and operates a nested FM rebroadcasting transmitter at 91.1 MHz in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The station broadcasts the programming of the CBC Radio One network, and serves as the regional network centre for Nunavut for the CBC North Radio One network. The local station began broadcasting on February 6, 1961. The "FB" in the callsign stands for Frobisher Bay, which was renamed Iqaluit in 1987.
Legislative Building of Nunavut
The Legislative Building of Nunavut was built between 1998 and 1999, and became the home of the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut in 1999. It is located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The building was built by Arcop Group, Full Circle Architecture, and Engineers AD Williams for the Nunavut Construction Corporation. Designated Building # 926, it is a three storey glass and wood structure with a two storey assembly hall. The lobby of the building opens to a two storey atrium.

CKIQ-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 99.9 FM in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Owned by Northern Lights Entertainment, the station airs a variety/hot adult contemporar format formerly branded as The New CKIQ and Raven Rock, and is one of two commercial radio stations currently licensed to broadcast in the territory. On September 1, 2011, it was rebranded as "The New Triple 9, Ice FM".
Diocese of The Arctic
The Diocese of The Arctic is a diocese of the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert's Land of the Anglican Church of Canada. It is by far the largest of the thirty dioceses in Canada, comprising almost 4,000,000 km, or one-third the land mass of the country. As the name indicates, the diocese encompasses the Arctic region of Canada including the entirety of the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and the Nunavik region of northern Quebec.
Nakasuk School
Nakasuk School is one of 4 elementary schools in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The school design is distinctive, consisting of a two storey fibreglass ice block. The building has no windows. The school is named after Nakasuk, the founder of Iqaluit, and is located near Inuksuk High School. In 2008 the Nakasuk school community produced a music CD "Songs from the Children of Nunavut", published through Leopard Frog Studio in Kingston ON.
St. Jude's Cathedral (Iqaluit)
St. Jude's Cathedral (formally the Cathedral of St. Simon and St. Jude) was the Anglican cathedral in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada. Designed by Ronald Thom in 1970 and built in 1972 by local volunteers, it was demolished in June 2006 following a fire. Construction of a new cathedral is currently taking place in Iqaluit. The cathedral was the seat of the Anglican Diocese of The Arctic, which covers the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and the Nunavik region of Northern Quebec.

CKGC-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 103.5 FM/MHz in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The station airs a classic hits/oldies music format branded as Capital FM. Owned by Northern Lights Entertainment Inc. , the current owner of CKIQ-FM received CRTC approval on February 1, 2010. The station began broadcasting on March 25, 2011. The station broadcasts music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, as well as 80s music all night.
Nigel Foster (kayaker)
Nigel Foster (born 17 October 1952) is an English sea kayaker, kayak designer, instructor and author. He is the first and youngest paddler to circle Iceland by kayak. Foster started paddling in Brighton, England when he was 15 in a skin-on-frame kayak. At Burwash Place Outdoor Activity Centre, Burwash, Sussex, England, Foster learned to handle whitewater, sea kayaking and surf kayaking. From 1971 to 1972 he was employed there as a "trainee instructor".
