Glen Haven, Nova Scotia
Glen Haven (Population 204) is a small coastal community within the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia, Canada, about 40 km from Halifax city centre. It is situated on the shore of the St. Margarets Bay immediately adjacent to Lower Tantallon and French Village along Route 333, also known as Peggy's Cove Road. It was once a part of French Village and was settled around 1785 by a number of Foreign Protestants from Lunenburg County.

Macdonald High School is a Canadian high school serving the western suburbs of Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality -- namely the communities of Beechville, Lakeside, Timberlea and Tantallon. Sir John A's feeder schools are Five Bridges Junior High School and Ridgecliff Middle School. The original Sir John A. Macdonald High School was built in the 1960s. Micou's Island, Nova Scotia
Micou's Island is a 22-acre tidal island located in the Glen Haven community near the eastern shore of St. Margarets Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. The island is accessible by a sandbar at low tide and has become a popular beach during summer months. Micou's Island got its name in the 1930s when the island was sold to an American family, the Micous. The Micous used the island as a summer vacation spot.

French Village is a community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on Chebucto Peninsula. French village initially included present day villages of Tantallon, Glen Haven and French Village. The French that migrated to the area were french speaking families from the Principality of Montbeliard (annexed by France 1793)and known as the "Foreign Protestants". They had come to Nova Scotia between 1750 and 1752 to settle Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
