Martock, Nova Scotia
Martock is a rural Canadian agricultural community located in the Avon River valley of western Hants County, Nova Scotia. The community was named after Martock House which was the original home in the area. The Georgian style mansion was built in 1790 and originally boasted more than 4,000 acres of land. Col. John Butler of England was the builder and original owner. The home was owned by the Sweet family through much of the 19th and all of the 20th century.
Ski Martock
Ski Martock is a ski resort located near Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada. The facilities feature a downhill area served by a quad chair lift and two T-bars, a beginners area served by two rope tows, and 5.5km of cross-country ski trails. The hill features a half-pipe and terrain park for snowboarding and freeskiing. It is the second largest ski hill in Nova Scotia, second only to Ski Wentworth.

Haliburton House Museum
The Haliburton House Museum is part of the Nova Scotia Museum system and is located in Windsor, Nova Scotia. It was originally built in the 1830s for Thomas Chandler Haliburton, a Windsor native who was one of Canada's first famous authors). His "Sam Slick" stories won him acclaim around the English-speaking world of the 1840s, and though Haliburton's famous character was fictitious, the home has also been referred to as the "Sam Slick House" informally for many years.
Shand House Museum
The Shand House Museum is part of the Nova Scotia Museum. Located in Windsor, Nova Scotia, it was built in 1890-91 for Clifford and Henrie Shand. It is an Queen-Anne style late-Victorian Era home, and most of its elaborate machine-made trim features are still intact. It contains most of the original family's belongings, including furniture, dishes, artwork, toys, photos and books which date to the turn of the century.

Avon View High School (AVHS) is a secondary school located in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It serves students from grades 10 to 12. The school currently provides education services for approximately 900 students in the Windsor, Nova Scotia area. The school currently employs 70-80 teachers, administration and janitorial staff, and is operated as one of the 43 schools in the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board.
