Halifax Explosion
The Halifax Explosion occurred on the morning of Thursday, December 6, 1917. SS Mont-Blanc, a French cargo ship fully laden with wartime explosives, collided with the Norwegian vessel SS Imo in the Narrows, a strait connecting the upper Halifax Harbour to Bedford Basin. Approximately twenty minutes later, a fire on board the French ship ignited her volatile cargo, causing a cataclysmic explosion that devastated the Richmond District of Halifax.

The North End of Halifax is a neighbourhood located in the urban core of Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality, occupying the northern part of the Halifax Peninsula.
Mayflower Curling Club
The Mayflower Curling Club, which was founded in 1905, is located in Nova Scotia's Halifax Regional Municipality in Halifax. The club is one of the premier curling rinks in Nova Scotia, being home to the teams headed by Colleen Jones, Mark Dacey, Shawn Adams, and Heather Smith-Dacey. The club was host for the curling events during the 2011 Canada Winter Games.
The Hydrostone
The Hydrostone is a neighbourhood in the North End of the Halifax Peninsula in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. It consists of ten short parallel streets and is bordered by Duffus Street to the north, Young Street to the south, Isleville Street to the west and Novalea Drive to the east. The neighbourhood was designed by architect Thomas Adams to provide housing for working-class families displaced by the Halifax Explosion in 1917.

CJCH-FM
CJCH-FM is a Canadian radio station owned by Bell Media. It broadcasts on the FM band at 101.3 MHz from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Coincident with its move to FM on May 30, 2008, the station adopted the moniker "101.3 The BOUNCE" and a rhythmic contemporary/top 40 format. The "BOUNCE" logo and fonts were patterned after CHBN-FM in Edmonton, Alberta, which, until 2010, was under the same ownership as CJCH. Prior to May 30, 2008, it operated at 920 kHz (AM) as "AM 92/CJCH" with an oldies music format.

It is located at 3115 Veith St in the North End of the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is just down the hill from one of Halifax's landmarks, The Hydrostone.
Highland Park Junior High School (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Highland Park Junior High School is a Canadian junior high school located in North End Halifax, Nova Scotia. The two schools which feed into Highland Park are students from St. Stephen's Elementary School and English students from Ecole St. Joseph's A. Mckay. The current principal is Wade Smith. The vice-principal is Grant Davy. Students who attended Highland Park, attend Citadel High School for grades 10 through 12.
Nova Scotia Cotton Manufacturing Company
The Nova Scotia Cotton Manufacturing Company was a cotton mill located in Halifax, Nova Scotia which was founded in 1882 and destroyed with great loss of life by the Halifax Explosion in 1917. The company was formed as part of an effort to industrialize the Maritime provinces of Canada and switch from merchant shipping to manufacturing under Canada's National Policy.
