George's Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador
George's Brook was a village located north of Clarenville. In 1950, when it became a Canada Post Office, the first Postmistress was Mona Pelley. By 1956 it had a population of 197. The first Way-master in October 1985 was Charles Pelley.
Clarenville Dragway
The Clarenville Dragway is a drag racing strip located just outside of Clarenville, Newfoundland & Labrador. It is the only dragstrip in the province, and the site doubles as Clarenville Airport.
