Edmundston
Edmundston /ˈɛdmʌndstən/ is a Canadian city in Madawaska County, New Brunswick.
Madawaska River (Saint John River)
The Madawaska River flows from Lake Témiscouata in Quebec to join the Saint John River at Edmundston, New Brunswick. The river's name comes from the Algonquian word "Madoueskak", which means "land of the porcupine". The river formed part of the Témiscouata Portage, a canoe and land route from the Bay of Fundy to the Saint Lawrence River dating from the late 17th century. A road, now Route 185 and part of the Trans-Canada Highway, was built along this route in 1862.

Madawaska Middle/High School is a public secondary school, serving grades 7 through 12, located in Madawaska, Maine, United States. The school serves students in from Madawaska, Saint David, and Grand Isle. The building also hosts the area's adult education program. Madawaska Middle/High school is in the Maine Principal's Association Class "C" for sports. It has 403 students. The school's mascot is the owl. The school colors are blue and white.
Edmundston–Madawaska Bridge
The Edmundston–Madawaska Bridge is an international bridge which connects the cities of Edmundston, New Brunswick in Canada and Madawaska, Maine in the United States, across the Saint John River. The bridge consists of four steel through truss spans, each 70.71 metres (232 feet) in length, for a total length of 287.12 metres (942 feet), which carries a two lane open steel grid deck roadway. The bridge was first constructed in 1920, replacing a cable ferry, and opened in 1921.

Campus Universitaire d'Edmundston
Campus Universitaire d'Edmunston is the Edmundston campus of the Université de Moncton. The smallest of the three campuses, it is the only university in northwestern New Brunswick, Canada. The campus boasts programs in seven different fields: humanities, business administration, education, forestry, humanities, nursing, and science.
