Port of Churchill

The Port of Churchill in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada is a port on the Hudson Bay, part of the Arctic Ocean. It was once owned by the Government of Canada but was sold in 1997 to the American company OmniTRAX to run privately. The port has four deep-sea berths capable of handling Panamax-size vessels for the loading and unloading of grain, bulk commodities, general cargo, and tanker vessels. The port is connected to the Hudson Bay Railway, an affiliated company of OmniTRAX.

Churchill railway station

Churchill railway station is a railway station located in the town of Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. It is served by the Hudson Bay Railway owned by the U. S-based OmniTRAX, as well as the national passenger carrier, Via Rail Canada. The station is located 820 kilometers northeast from The Pas, Manitoba, on the shore of Hudson Bay. The railway to Churchill was originally built by the Canadian National and completed in 1929.
