Rexall Place
Rexall Place is an indoor arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada situated on the north side of Northlands. It is currently the home to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, the Edmonton Rush of the National Lacrosse League and the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL. It is the third oldest NHL arena behind Madison Square Garden and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which opened in 1968 and 1972 respectively.
K-Days
K-Days, formerly known as Klondike Days and Edmonton's Capital Ex, is an annual 10-day exhibition held in Edmonton, Alberta, usually near the end of July. In recent years it has attracted between 700,000 and 800,000 visitors each year. It runs in conjunction with A Taste of Edmonton, and since 2006, the Edmonton Indy. The exhibition is held at Northlands, (formerly Northlands Park), south of Rexall Place.
Edmonton-Gold Bar
Edmonton-Gold Bar is a provincial electoral district, in Alberta, Canada. The district is one of 87 in the province mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. The district is primarily urban and located in the central east portion of city of Edmonton. It was created in the 1971 boundary redistribution from part of Strathcona East. The district was a stronghold for Liberal candidates from 1986 to 2012.
Edmonton Gardens
The Edmonton Gardens was the first indoor hockey arena built in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was originally built as Edmonton Stock Pavilion in 1913, and held 5,200 spectators after its 1966 renovations. It was home to the World Hockey Association's Edmonton Oilers from 1972 to 1974. The Oilers moved to the brand new Northlands Coliseum after the 1973–74 season.

Northlands Park
Northlands Park is the "Alberta A circuit" horse racing track at Northlands in Edmonton, Alberta. The horse racing season generally consists of a spring harness meet from February/March, a Thoroughbred meet from May/June to September/October and a fall harness meet to mid-December. Northlands Park (formerly Northlands Spectrum) is the building name for the grandstand. There are three dining areas on the second floor.
Northlands
Northlands is a non-profit, volunteer organization in Edmonton, Alberta. It was founded in 1879, before the official incorporation of the city of Edmonton, or the province of Alberta. Northlands attracts over 4 million visitors every year to more than 2,500 events, including Canadian Finals Rodeo, Farmfair International, K-Days, headliner concerts, international events, trade shows, Edmonton Oilers hockey, live horse racing and slot machines.
Coliseum (ETS)
Coliseum Station is a surface station on the LRT system (Route 201) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is operated by Edmonton Transit System, and was one of the original five stations when the line opened on April 22, 1978. It is located between Belvedere Station and Stadium Station at approximately 78 Street and 118 Avenue, and is built on an overpass that travels over 118 Avenue (Alberta Avenue). Coliseum Station serves Edmonton's Rexall Place and Edmonton Northlands.
Canadian Derby
The Canadian Derby is a Canadian Thoroughbred horse race run annually at Northlands Park in Edmonton, Alberta. A Grade III event held near the end of August, it is open to thee-year-old horses and is raced on dirt over a distance of one and three-eights miles. It was contested at 1 mile from 1930 to 1933, and at 1¼ miles from 1934 through 1956. The race was the creation of future Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame inductee R.
Edmonton Radial Railway
The Edmonton Radial Railway (ERR) was a streetcar service that operated in Edmonton, Alberta from 1908 to 1951. In 1893 an ordinance was passed permitting Edmonton to construct and operate a tramway. However, it wasn't until 1907 that the tracks for the first tramway line were laid, with service commencing in 1908. In 1908, the Government of Alberta passed the Edmonton Radial Tramway Act, permitting the city to provide tramway service to communities located within 80 miles of the city.
North Edmonton, Alberta
North Edmonton is a former village in Alberta, Canada that was absorbed by the City of Edmonton. The approximate geographic centre of the former village is the current intersection of Fort Road, 66 Street and 127 Avenue in northeast Edmonton. Its land is now occupied by the Edmonton neighbourhoods of Balwin, Belvedere, Industrial Heights, Kennedale Industrial and Yellowhead Corridor East.
Concordia High School (Edmonton)
Established 1921. The very first class of students, eighth grade boys. Concordia High School (CHS), originally named, Concordia College and subsequently, Concordia College High School until 1997. Concordia University College of Alberta that exists on the Highlands campus grew out of the small high school. It was created, nurtured and built slowly since the 1930s. The original purpose of the school was to prepare young men to attend the Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
