Yovkovtsi
The Yovkovtsi Reservoir (язовир „Йовковци“) is situated in northeastern Bulgaria, 5 kilometres away of the town of Elena. It was built 20 years ago on the Veselina River. The reservoir is located in the territory of Elena municipality, and supplies water to Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Lyaskovets, Strazhitsa, Zlataritsa, Elena, Gabrovo and Dryanovo. 223 square kilometres of the reservoir are hygienic protected zone. The dam is rich in carp, pikeperch and many other kinds of fish.
Tsarevets
Tsarevets is a medieval stronghold located on a hill with the same name in Veliko Tarnovo in northern Bulgaria. It served as the Second Bulgarian Empire's primary fortress and strongest bulwark from 1185 to 1393, housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces, and is a popular tourist attraction.
Veliko Tarnovo University
The St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgarian Великотърновски университет „Св. св. Кирил и Методий“) is a Bulgarian university based in the city of Veliko Tarnovo. It was established on 15 September 1963 as a pedagogical institute. The university is the second largest in Bulgaria after Sofia University. It is named after the creators of the Bulgarian alphabet St. Cyril and St. Methodius.

The Holy Forty Martyrs Church (Bulgarian: църква "Св. Четиридесет мъченици", tsarkva "Sv. Chetirideset machenitsi") is a medieval Eastern Orthodox church constructed in 1230 in the town of Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria, the former capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. The Holy Forty Martyrs Church is an elongated six-columned basilica, has three semicircular apses and a narrow narthex from the west. Another building was added later to the west side of the church.
Baldwin's Tower
Baldwin's Tower (Bulgarian: Балдуинова кула, Balduinova kula) is a defensive tower located in the Bulgarian town of Veliko Tarnovo, in the southeast of the Tsarevets Fortress. The modern tower is designed by the architect Aleksandar Reshenov and built in 1930 based on the preserved medieval tower in the Cherven fortress near Ruse. The tower was built near the location of the Frenhisar Gate, the south entrance to Tsarevets. The medieval tower guarded the gate and a water reservoir.

Zlataritsa
Zlataritsa is a small town situated in the central northern part of Bulgaria, located in Veliko Tarnovo Province and close to the towns of Elena, Rodina, Lyaskovets, Strazhitsa and Antonovo. The city is the administrative center of the Zlataritsa Municipality. The climate of Zlataritsa is characteristic for its location north of the Balkan Mountains, which is typically continental. As of December 2009, the town has a population of 2,558 inhabitants.

The Patriarchal Cathedral of the Holy Ascension of God (Bulgarian: Патриаршеска катедрала „Свето Възнесение Господне“, Patriarsheska katedrala „Sveto Vaznesenie Gospodne“) is a former Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, in north central Bulgaria. Located on top of the fortified Tsarevets hill in the former capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, the cathedral was the seat of the Bulgarian patriarch from its construction in the 11th–12th century to its destruction in 1393.
