Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul
The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul is one of the largest federal universities in Brazil. It is almost completely located in Porto Alegre, with four campuses (Campus Centro, Campus Saúde, Campus Olímpico and Campus do Vale), some isolated buildings (e.g. the Business School and the Institute of Arts) and some isolated units in other cities. UFRGS is among the best Brazilian universities, and has one of the greatest numbers of scientific publications.
Estádio Beira-Rio
Estádio José Pinheiro Borda, better known as Estádio Beira-Rio (Riverside Stadium) due to its location beside the Guaíba River, is a football stadium in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It serves as the home stadium for Sport Club Internacional. It is named after José Pinheiro Borda, an elderly Portuguese engineer who supervised the building of the stadium but died before seeing its completion. Estádio Beira-Rio replaced Internacional's previous stadium, the Estádio dos Eucaliptos.

Estádio Olímpico Monumental (Monumental Olympic Stadium, in English) also known as Estádio Olímpico de Porto Alegre (Porto Alegre Olympic Stadium), or simply Estádio Olímpico, was a football stadium in the city of Porto Alegre, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, with a maximum capacity of 45,000 people. The stadium was owned by Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense.
Alvorada
Alvorada is a city in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, adjacent to the city of Porto Alegre. The city is also known as "The Capital of Solidarity. " Alvorada is primarily a bedroom community with most workers commuting to adjacent cities such as Porto Alegre to work. Alvorada is built around its main road: Avenida Presidente Vargas. The name means "the awakening" or "the sunrise". Although improvements have been made, the city suffers from heavy crime and squatting.

The Estádio Ildo Meneghetti, usually known as Estádio dos Eucaliptos was a football stadium located in the neighborhood of Menino Deus, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The stadium had a maximum capacity of 20,000 people and was built in 1931. Estádio dos Eucaliptos was owned Sport Club Internacional. The stadium was nicknamed after Chácara dos Eucalitpos (meaning Eucalyptus' Ranch), which is the place where the stadium was built.
Jacuí River
The Jacuí River is a river in Rio Grande do Sul state of southern Brazil. The Jacuí empties into the Guaíba River, an estuarine arm of the Lagoa dos Patos, a large coastal lagoon connected to the Atlantic Ocean. The Jacuí River, known as 'Rio Jacuí' in Portuguese, has its origins in the highlands east of Passo Fundo. From there it flows south and then east for nearly 300 miles. The Taquari, Caí, Sinos, and Gravataí rivers merge into the Jacuí near its mouth.

Gigantinho
The Gigantinho ("Little Giant" in Portuguese) is a sports arena in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The sixth largest arena in the country, it was opened on 4 November 1973. It is located in the riverside Beira-Rio complex of Sport Club Internacional, next to the "Gigante" ("Giant") stadium. Covering 7,200 square meters, the arena includes an indoor football pitch. The capacity of the gym is 12,864 people for games and 14,586 for concerts. Eleven cabins are set aside for the press.

Bom Fim
Bom Fim is a neighborhood in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. At the beginning of the 20th century, Jewish immigrants were clustered in Bom Fim, where they built a strong community. The author Moacyr Scliar was raised in the area and wrote a novel about it. Pepsi on Stage is a music venue in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. It has a capacity of 7,200. It is located in the neighbourhood of São João, near the Salgado Filho International Airport. Opened in 2006, Pepsi on Stage is the first of midsize arenas that follows the line of projects for Pepsi that includes Pepsi Stage in Amsterdam, Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York, and Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Porto Alegre Public Market
The Porto Alegre Public Market, in downtown Porto Alegre, Brazil, is the City's oldest public market. It also is an important Historic Landmark and a well known meeting point, with many coffee shops and restaurants. The cornerstone was laid on August 29, 1864, building over an earlier and smaller market. Frederico Heydtmann designed the building, but his plan was substantially altered and enlarged. The inauguration took place on October 3, 1869.
