Karakaj

Cultural Summer of Zvornik

The great manifestation called the Cultural Summer of Zvornik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, usually starts on August 2 and lasts for about six days. Zvornik massacre

The Zvornik massacre refers to acts of mass murder and violence committed against the Bosniak and non-Serb civilian population of the town of Zvornik by Serb paramilitary groups at the beginning of the Bosnian War in 1992. Estimates show that 40,000 Bosniaks were expelled from the town. It was the second city in Bosnia and Herzegovina that was forcefully taken over by Serb forces during the Bosnian War.
