Tuzla
Tuzla is a city and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tuzla is the economic, scientific, cultural, educational, health and tourist centre of northeast Bosnia. Tuzla is the seat of the Tuzla Canton and Tuzla Municipality. As of 2011, the city proper has an estimated population of 120,000 inhabitants, while the municipality has around 200,000, and the Tuzla Canton 499,221. After Sarajevo, and Banja Luka, Tuzla is the third largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The airport is a civilian airport and a military airbase. Its operating hours are from 06:00 to 20:00 LT for commercial air carriers and 06:00 to 17:00 LT for general/corporate aviation with a possible extension.
Tuzla Air Base
Tuzla Air Base is a former SFR Yugoslav Air Force and later, NATO Air Force base, located 6.4 miles south-southeast of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also shares the runway with the Tuzla International Airport. It was used by the United States, Russian, and allied NATO forces, beginning in 1995 as part of the NATO Stabilization Forces (SFOR), which brought peace to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
University of Tuzla
University of Tuzla (Bosnian: Univerzitet u Tuzli) is a public university located in the city of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The university was founded in 1958. It became a proper university in 1976, and today is one of the major institutions of higher learning in Bosnia.
Dobrnja-Jug mine disaster
The Dobrnja-Jug mine disaster was a mining accident that happened on 26 August 1990 near Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The accident occurred in the Dobrnja-jug shaft of the Mramor coal mine. The mine was operated by the Kreka company, which operates three other mines in the area. All of the coal mined in the region is used to power the Tuzla thermoelectric power plant.
1992 Yugoslav People's Army column incident in Tuzla
The 1992 Yugoslav People's Army column incident in Tuzla was an attack on the 92nd Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) Motorized Brigade in the Bosnian city of Tuzla that took place on 15 May 1992. The incident occurred at the road junction of Brčanska Malta as the JNA was undergoing an agreed-upon withdrawal from the city. At least 50 members of the JNA were killed and 44 wounded during the attacks.
