Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque
The Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque (Bosnian: Gazi Husrev-begova Džamija, Turkish: Gazi Hüsrev Bey Camii), is a mosque in the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is considered the most important Islamic structure in the country and one of the world's finest examples of Ottoman architecture. It is located in the Baščaršija neighborhood in the Stari Grad municipality, and remains one of the most popular centers of worship in the city.
Emperor's Mosque
The Emperor's Mosque is an important landmark in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, being the first mosque to be built (1457) after the Ottoman conquest of Bosnia. It is the largest single-subdome mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina, built in the classical Ottoman style of the era. It was built by one Isaković-Hranušić who dedicated it to the Sultan, Mehmed the Conqueror, the conqueror of Constantinople.
Baščaršija
Baščaršija is Sarajevo's old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baščaršija was built in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Isaković founded the town. The word Baščaršija derives from the Turkish language. The word "baš" which is "baş" in Turkish literally means "head", in some contexts however also "primary", "main", "capital" and "čaršija" which is "çarşı" in Turkish means "bazaar" or "market".
Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria
On 28 June 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were shot dead in Sarajevo, by Gavrilo Princip, one of a group of six Bosnian Serb assassins coordinated by Danilo Ilić. The political objective of the assassination was to break off Austria-Hungary's south-Slav provinces so they could be combined into a Greater Serbia or a Yugoslavia.
Svrzo's House
Svrzo's House is an old house in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina that was established when the Ottoman Empire ruled the area. It is a branch of the Museum of Sarajevo. It is typical in that it has living quarters for the men, the women, and the servants. The house is in extremely well preserved condition, which is noteworthy in that the house is built completely from wood; a construction method not commonly used in the region in modern times.
Ferhadija Mosque in Sarajevo
Ferhadija Mosque, also known as Ferhat-Pasha Mosque, Ferhad-Beg Vuković Mosque, is a central building in the city of Sarajevo built by Bosnian Sanjak-bey (governor) Ferhad-Beg Vuković, a descendant of the famous mediaeval Vuković-Desisalić family. This mosque has one dome above the prayer area (namaz) and three small domes at the cloister and is one of the greatest achievements of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 16th century Ottoman and Islamic architecture.
National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NUBBiH) is the national library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in the city of Sarajevo. It was designed in 1891 by the Czech architect Karel Pařík, but criticisms by the minister, Baron Benjamin Kallay, caused him to stop working on the project. It was initially the largest and most representative building of the Austro-Hungarian period in Sarajevo and served as the city hall.
Gazi Husrev bey's public kitchen and Hostelry
Gazi Husrev bey's Public Kitchen and Hostelry was built in Sarajevo at the same time as the Bey’s Mosque was built, in 1530. It was a two story building where students, endowment administrators, indigent travelers (for up to three days) and the needy were fed. The hostelry had similar purpose where it provided accommodation up for three nights for free, as well as for students, endowment administrators, indigent travelers.

Morića Han
Morića Han is a han (that is, a roadside inn) originally built in 1551 in Sarajevo, Ottoman Empire. After a fire in 1697 it was reconstructed in its current form. Morića Han is one of the buildings which were financed by and belonged to Gazi Husrev-Beg's endowment. It is the only surviving han in Sarajevo. It is located in Baščaršija, Sarači street, in Stari Grad.

Babića bašća (Babić's garden) is a local community within the municipality of Stari Grad, Sarajevo. It's one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Sarajevo. It derives its name from a garden that was the property of a certain Babić family, and it was located in a street that now has the same name as the local community.
Alifakovac
Alifakovac is a neighborhood in Babića bašća local community, municipality of Stari Grad, Sarajevo. As one of the oldest urban settlements in Sarajevo, it is situated on the spine of the northern end of the slope Trebević, on the lowest hill in the row at the last meander of Miljacka, before it pours out of its narrow canyon. Ever since people settled this part of land roads to Tsargrad, across the Kozja ćuprija, went through it.
