South Tower (Brussels)
Tour du Midi or Zuidertoren, both meaning South Tower, is a 38-storey, 148 m skyscraper constructed between 1962 and 1967 in Brussels, Belgium. The tower is the tallest building in Belgium, and was the tallest in the European Union when built until surpassed by Tour Montparnasse in Paris in 1972. Tour du Midi stands adjacent to the Brussels-South railway station.

Brussels-South railway station
Brussels-South is the biggest railway station in Brussels, capital of Belgium. The station's bilingual French-Dutch name is often shortened outside Belgium – for example, in the Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable — to the (tri-lingual) "Brussels Midi/Zuid". The station is served by the Gare du Midi/Zuidstation station on the Brussels Metro system. 1,000 trains pass every day between Brussels-South and Brussels-North railway stations.

Marollen
Marolles or Marollen is an ancient district of Brussels, situated between the Law Courts of Brussels (Palace of Justice) and the Brussels-South railway station. In the heart of Marollen can be found the Église de la Chapelle/Kapellekerk and the Place du Jeu de balle/Vossenplein. Major arteries of the neighborhood include the rue Haute/Hoogstraat, the rue Blaesstraat and the rue des Tanneurs/Huidevetterstraat. Inhabitants of the district are called Marolliens.
Fortifications of Brussels
There were two stages of fortifications of Brussels, the first walls, built in the early 13th century, and the second walls, built in the late 14th century and later upgraded. Today, only a few sections of either remain.
Porte de Hal/Hallepoort metro station
The Porte de Hal/Hallepoort metro station is an Brussels metro station on the southern segment of line 2. It was opened to premetro trams (it currently serves three lines) on 2 October 1988 and line 2 of the metro reached the station 3 December 1993 (the metro operates one level below the premetro lines). It is located under the small ring in the municipality of Saint-Gilles / Sint-Gillis, next to the 14th century city gate of Porte de Hal / Hallepoort.
Clemenceau metro station
The Clemenceau metro station is an Brussels metro station on the southern segment of line 2. It opened on 18 June 1993 and was the terminus of line 2 until Delacroix opened in 2006. It is located on Clemenceau Avenue, between Bergensesteenweg and Kliniekstraat next to a slaughterhouse, in the municipality of Anderlecht.

The Lemonnier premetro station is an underground tram station in the City of Brussels, Brussels, Belgium. It is located near the crossroad between the Maurice Lemonnier boulevard and the small ring road. It is part of the North-South Axis tunnel which crosses the city center from the Brussels-North railway station to the Albert premetro station.
Forest park, Brussels
The Forest park is a park in Brussels, Belgium located in and named after the municipality of Forest. It was designed by Victor Besme and has 13 ha. It is adjacent to the Duden park to its south, which is home to the football ground of R. Union Saint-Gilloise, the legendary football club from the neighbouring municipality of Saint-Gilles. Though the club is not located in the municipality, whose border with Forest is to the north of the Forest park.
Avenue Fonsny
The Avenue Fonsny or Fonsnylaan is a major street in the municipality of Saint-Gilles in Brussels, Belgium connecting the Place de la Constitution on the south-west of the small ring road to the municipality of Forest. It is continued in Forest by the Avenue Van Volxem / Van Volxemlaan. It runs parallel to the Belgian railway line 96. One entry to the Brussels-South railway station is on Avenue Fonsny.
Parvis de Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillis Voorplein premetro station
Parvis de Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillis Voorplein is part of the Brussels Metro, situated in the Saint-Gilles commune of the Brussels capital region, Belgium. Opened on 3 December 1993, the station forms part of a southerly extension to the north-south premetro line (formerly line 3), which originally linked the Brussels-North railway station and Brussels-South railway station. The underground station serves the 3, 4, 33 and 51 trams and there is a surface connection to the 48 bus route.
