Collegium Trilingue
The Collegium Trilingue, often also called Collegium trium linguarum, or, after its creator Collegium Buslidianum, was founded in 1517 under the patronage of the humanist, Jeroen Van Busleyden (in Latin Hieronymus Buslidius). House of Arenberg
The House of Arenberg is an aristocratic lineage that is constituted by three successive families who took their name from Arenberg, a small principality of the Holy Roman Empire in the Eifel. The inheritance of the House of Croÿ-Aarschot made the Arenbergs the most influential and most wealthy noble family of the Habsburg Netherlands. The Arenbergs were mediatized in 1811. The present head of the house bears the title of Duke of Arenberg, while all other members are princes or princesses.
Ladeuzeplein
The Mgr. Ladeuzeplein is a square (plein is Dutch for square) in the center of Leuven . The square was named after a former rector of the Catholic University Leuven, Monseigneur Paulin Ladeuze. The Ladeuzeplein is the largest square in Leuven. Until World War II it was called the Volksplaats or People's Place. Among the local population the square was known as the Clarisse.
Grote Markt (Leuven)
The Grote Markt listen (Dutch for "Grand Square") of Leuven, Belgium is situated between the Oude Markt (Old Square) and the Fochplein and near both the Bondgenotenlaan (Avenue of the Allied Forces) and the Muntstraat (Mint Street). Its location on the crossing of some of Leuven's most famous and most touristic spots makes the Grote Markt one of the city's busiest squares.

Siege of Leuven
The Siege of Leuven (June 24 – July 4, 1635) was an important siege in the Thirty Years' War in which a Franco-Dutch army under Frederick Henry of Orange and the French Marshals Urbain de Maillé-Brezé and Gaspard III de Coligny, who had invaded the Spanish Netherlands from two sides, laid siege to the Spanish city of Leuven, defended by 4,000 Flemish civilians, Walloons, Spaniards and Irish under Anthonie Schetz, Baron of Grobbendonck.
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven
The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, now referring to itself simply as KU Leuven, is a Dutch-speaking university in Flanders, Belgium. It is located in the centre of the historic town of Leuven, home to the university since 1425. The Catholic University of Leuven, considered Belgium's oldest university, split into the Dutch-language KU Leuven and the French-language Université catholique de Louvain, which moved to Louvain-la-Neuve in Wallonia.
