St. Rumbold's Cathedral
St. Rumbold's Cathedral (or Sint-Romboutskathedraal, in Dutch) is the Belgian metropolitan archiepiscopal cathedral in Mechelen, dedicated to an assumedly Irish or Scottish Christian missionary and martyr who had founded an abbey nearby. His remains are rumoured to be buried inside the cathedral.

Brusselpoort
The Brusselpoort is the sole remaining city gate of the original twelve gates of the city of Mechelen, Belgium. This imposing structure dates from the 13th century. Because of her exceptional height, towering above the other gates, she was also called the 'Overste poort' (superior gate). In the 16th century, the towers were lowered and the roof construction was altered to her present configuration.
Argosstadion Achter de Kazerne
The Argosstadion Achter de Kazerne is a football stadium in Mechelen, Belgium. It is used for football matches and is the home ground of Y.R. K.V. Mechelen. The stadium holds 13,213. The stadium is called Achter de Kazerne, which means the same as 'Behind army Barracks'. It is called this way because one time the stadium was located behind an army base. Years have gone by and the army base has disappeared but over time people kept calling it Achter de Kazerne.

Archduchess Margaret of Austria, Governor of the Netherlands, was granted a house located in the Korte Maagdenstraat (Virgins Short Street), but she found it too small and started an ambitious expansion campaign in 1507.

Kazerne Dossin – Memorial
The Kazerne Dossin, a former infantry barracks in Mechelen, Flanders, Belgium, was partially renovated for civil housing and, upon the Flemish Government, the Province of Antwerp and the City of Mechelen's financing the purchase of the ground floor and the basement of the right wing, in 1996 these became the site of the Jewish Museum of Deportation and Resistance. It was renamed Memorial, Museum and Documentation Centre on Holocaust and Human Rights for it has been expanded.
Oscar Vankesbeeck Stadion
The Oscar Vankesbeesckstadion is a football stadium, located in Mechelen, Belgium, and is host to K.R.C. Mechelen. With a capacity of 13,687, it is the 9th largest football stadium in Belgium in terms of capacity. It is also the largest football stadium in the third division. Rival club KV Mechelen play in the first division, but their Veolia Stadium Achter de Kazerne has a smaller capacity with 13,123.

The Catholic University of Mechlin (Latin: Universitas catholica Belgii) was a university that was founded in Mechelen, Belgium, on November 8, 1834 by the bishops of Belgium. The bishops aimed to create a university "to accommodate any doctrine from the Holy Apostolic See and to repudiate anything that does not flow from this august source". The first and only rector was the priest and historian Peter de Ram.

Mechelen-Zuid Water Tower
The Mechelen-Zuid Water Tower is a 143 metre high concrete water and telecommunications tower constructed in 1978. Since 1979, it has supplied the water to the city of Mechelen, Belgium, while also hosting television and telecommunications aerials. The concrete spire passes through a wide disc holding water fifty metres above the ground. Higher up, a smaller disc supports telecommunications equipment.
