Zurenborg
Zurenborg is an area in south-east Antwerp largely developed between 1894 and 1906 that features a high concentration of townhouses in Art Nouveau and other fin-de-siècle styles. Zurenborg is unique in Antwerp in the sense that it is one of the few areas developed according an urbanistic plan in the late 19th century.

Borgerhout is a district in the city of Antwerp in the Flemish Region of Belgium. The district houses 41,614 inhabitants (as of 31 May 2006) reflecting 90 nationalities. It is divided in two by three adjoining traffic arteries (the Ring highway, the Singel boulevard, and the main railway Brussels-Amsterdam).
Xaverius College
Xaverius College, in Borgerhout, near Antwerp, Belgium, is one of seven schools operated by the Jesuit priests in Flanders, the northern and western part of Belgium where Dutch is spoken. Xaverius College holds about 800 students, girls and boys, between 6 and 18 years old. It is a mix of old and new buildings around the recreation areas and the monastery garden. A group of Jesuits live in the monastery but they no longer teach as they used to.

Antwerp Zoo is a zoo in the centre of Antwerp, Belgium, located right next to the Antwerpen-Centraal railway station. It is the oldest animal park in the country, and one of the oldest in the world, established on 21 July 1843.
Van Wesenbekestraat
Van Wesenbekestraat is the street in Antwerp where the little Chinatown of the city is settled. It contains a lot of Asian restaurants, the biggest Asian supermarket in the country (named Sun Wah), a Buddhist temple and a school for mastering kungfu. Both at the entrance and the end of the street, two Chinese lions guard the inhabitants. The street is decorated with flags and dragon-shaped streetlights to express its typical character. Since 2011 there is also a large typical gate.

The Eisenmann Synagogue is an historic synagogue in Antwerp, Belgium. It was built by Jacob Eisenmann in 1907 and is the only synagogue in Antwerp to have survived the Holocaust and the Nazi occupation of Belgium.

Switel Hotel fire
The Switel Hotel fire took place on 31 December 1994 during a New Year's Eve party in the Switel Hotel at the Kievitplein in Antwerp, Belgium. At about 22:50 fire broke out in the Tenerife party hall when the party decorations caught fire. Fifteen people died and 164 people were severely injured. Dutch singer Lee Towers was one of the guests at the party, he escaped unscathed but his wife Laura got severe burns.
Antwerpen-Berchem railway station
Antwerpen-Berchem is a railway station in the south of the city of Antwerp, Antwerp, Belgium. The station opened on 3 May 1836 on the Lines 25, 27, 27A and 59. From opening until 1975, the station was simply known as Berchem, later changing to Berchem (Antwerpen), at the time when International trains stopped here instead of Antwerpen Oost. In 1983, when Berchem and Antwerpen became one city, the station was renamed Antwerpen-Berchem.
