Brussels
Brussels, officially the Brussels Region or Brussels-Capital Region, is the capital of Belgium and the de facto capital of the European Union (EU). The station was inaugurated when the first Brussels Metro line was converted from "premetro" (operated with trams) to "heavy" metro. It is currently served by lines 1A and 1B, which use the same tracks at this point.

Hotel Metropole, Brussels
The Hotel Metropole, built in 1895, is the only nineteenth-century hotel in Brussels still in operation today. The hotel has 298 rooms and 15 suites. In 1890, two brothers with a brewing company opened Café Metropole as a place in the city to sell their beer. The café was a huge success and the Weilemans-Ceuppens family then purchased the building next-door, a former bank, which would become the Hotel Metropole, inaugurated in 1895.

Small ring (Brussels)
The Brussels small ring or inner ring road is a series of roadways in central Brussels, Belgium, surrounding the historic city centre. It was built on the site of the Second walls of Brussels, built in the 16th century, after they were torn down. The small ring and the area within it are often called the pentagon, as it has a pentagonal shape. The small ring is about 8 km long. It is surrounded by the Greater Ring, which runs about 30 km and by the Ring (about 80 km).
Brussels-North railway station
Bruxelles-Nord / Brussel-Noord (Brussels North) is one of the three major railway stations in Brussels; the other two are Brussels Central and Brussels South. The station's bilingual French-Dutch name is generally translated to "Brussels North". Every regular domestic and international train (except Thalys and the weekdays IC-B to Amsterdam) passing here also has a planned stop.
Bockstael metro station
Bockstael Metro Station is one of the metro stations on line 6 of the Brussels Metro. It was opened in 1982 and named after the "Place Émile Bockstael/Émile Bockstaelplein". Prior to the opening of the extension to the Heizel/Heysel metro station in 1985, the station was the western terminus of line 1A (now line 6). The station allows transfer to and from suburban railway line 50 to Aalst and Dendermonde via Belgian Rail.

The Rogier metro station is a Brussels metro station on the northern segment of line 2 which also serves tram lines on the north-south axis. It opened as a premetro on 18 August 1974 and became a full metro station on 2 October 1988. The station is located under the small ring at Place Rogier/Rogierplein in the municipality of the Saint-Josse-ten-Noode.

Rue Neuve (Brussels)
Rue Neuve or Nieuwstraat is a pedestrian street in Brussels' city center. It is the second most popular shopping area in Belgium by number of shoppers, after Meir in Antwerp. It runs between Place de la Monnaie in the south and Place Charles Rogier in the north. The street used to be called rue Notre-Dame/Onze-Lieve-Vrouwstraat, after the Church of Our Lady of Finistere, which is now in the middle of the retail district.

The Bockstael railway station is a railway station in Brussels, Belgium operated by the SNCB/NMBS. It opened in 1982 to replace the Laeken railway station. The station is located in the City of Brussels on the Belgian railway line 50, between the Brussels-North and Jette railway station. It is named after the nearby Place Bockstael/Bockstaelplein. The station offers a connection with the Bockstael metro station as well as tram route 94 and bus routes 49, 53, 88 and 89.
