Brussels
Brussels, officially the Brussels Region or Brussels-Capital Region, is the capital of Belgium and the de facto capital of the European Union (EU). It is also the largest urban area in Belgium, comprising 19 municipalities, including the municipality of the City of Brussels, which is the de jure capital of Belgium, in addition to the seat of the French Community of Belgium and of the Flemish Community.
Manneken Pis
(literally Little Man Pee in Marols, a Dutch dialect spoken in Brussels, also known in French as le Petit Julien), is a famous Brussels landmark. It is a small bronze fountain sculpture depicting a naked little boy urinating into the fountain's basin. It was designed by Hiëronymus Duquesnoy the Elder and put in place in 1618 or 1619. It bears a similar cultural significance as Copenhagen's Little Mermaid.
Grand Place
The Grand Place or Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels. It is surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall, and the Breadhouse . The square is the most important tourist destination and most memorable landmark in Brussels. It measures 68 by 110 metres (by ft), and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region
The Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region, is the governing body of the Brussels-Capital Region, one of the three regions of Belgium. It is also known as the Brussels Regional Parliament.
La Monnaie
The Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie (or la Monnaie) in French, or the Koninklijke Muntschouwburg (or de Munt) in Dutch is a theatre in Brussels, Belgium. Both of its names translate as Royal Theatre of the Mint. Today the National Opera of Belgium, a federal institution, takes the name of the theatre in which it is housed. Therefore, la Monnaie or de Munt refers both to the structure as well as the opera company.
Jeanneke Pis
Jeanneke Pis is a modern fountain and statue in Brussels, which forms a counterpoint in gender terms to the city's trademark Manneken Pis at the Grand Place (Grote Markt). It was made by Denis-Adrien Debouvrie in 1985 and erected in 1987 and endowed with its own instant legend, the better to amuse strollers. This half-metre-high statue of blue-grey limestone depicts a little girl with her hair in short pigtails, squatting and urinating, apparently very contentedly.

Saint-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne metro station
Sainte-Catherine/Sint-Katelijne is a Brussels metro station in the City of Brussels, Belgium. It is located between the "Quai aux Briques/Baksteenkaai" and the "Quai du Bois à Brûler/Brandhoutkaai," near the church of St. Catherine, which gives the station its name. The station was inaugurated when the first Brussels Metro line was converted from "premetro" (operated with trams) to "heavy" metro. It is currently served by lines 1A and 1B, which use the same tracks at this point.

Brussels Stock Exchange
The Brussels Stock Exchange (BSE) (French: Bourse de Bruxelles, Dutch: Beurs van Brussel) was founded in Brussels, Belgium, by Napoleonic decree in 1801. On 22 September 2000, the BSE merged with Paris Bourse, Lisbon Stock Exchange and the stock exchanges of Amsterdam, to form Euronext N.V. , the first pan-European exchange for equities and derivatives, with common trading and clearing of all products, and was renamed Euronext Brussels.
Brussels Town Hall
The Town Hall of the City of Brussels is a Gothic building from the Middle Ages. It is located on the famous Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium.
Délirium Café
Délirium Café is a bar in Brussels, Belgium, known for its long beer list, standing at 2,004 different brands in January 2004 as recorded in the The Guinness Book of Records. On offer are beers from over 60 countries, including many Belgian beers. The bar is located in the small alley called Impasse de la Fidélité/Getrouwheidsgang, only a couple of hundred metres from the Grand Place. The Jeanneke Pis statue is across the street from the entrance.
Hotel Metropole, Brussels
The Hotel Metropole, built in 1895, is the only nineteenth-century hotel in Brussels still in operation today. The hotel has 298 rooms and 15 suites. In 1890, two brothers with a brewing company opened Café Metropole as a place in the city to sell their beer. The café was a huge success and the Weilemans-Ceuppens family then purchased the building next-door, a former bank, which would become the Hotel Metropole, inaugurated in 1895.

Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts
The Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts (ARBA) is an art school in Brussels, Belgium, founded in 1711. The faculty and alumni of ARBA include some of the most famous names in Belgian painting, sculpture, and architecture: James Ensor, Rene Magritte, and Paul Delvaux. Painter Vincent van Gogh studied here, briefly, beginning in late 1880, to improve his grasp of anatomy, composition, and perspective. Peyo, creator of The Smurfs, also trained here.
Comme chez Soi
Comme Chez Soi is a restaurant in Brussels, Belgium. The chef is Lionel Rigolet, Gault Millau's Belgian Chef of the Year 2007. For 27 years (as of 1979), it was rated with 3 stars by the Michelin Red Guide. In 2006 it was downgraded to two stars after chef and owner Pierre Wynants announced he would step down in favour of his son-in-law Rigolet. The restaurant was founded in 1926 by Georges Cuvelier, originally a coal miner from the Belgian Borinage region.
Brussels Parliament building
The Brussels Parliament building largely dates back to the early twentieth century, although it has had modern renovations and some wings date back to the seventeenth century. It is a neoclassical building located on rue de Lombardstraat and houses the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region.
Comte de Flandre/Graaf van Vlaanderen metro station
The Comte de Flandre/Graaf van Vlaanderen Metro Station is one of the metro stations on lines 1A and 1B of the Brussels Metro. It opened on May 8, 1981. The station is located at the borough of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek.
Yser/IJzer metro station
The Yser/IJzer metro station is an Brussels metro station on the northern segment of line 2. It opened on 2 October 1988 and is located under the small ring between Place Yser/IJzerplein and Porte d'Anvers/Antwerpsepoort in the municipality of the City of Brussels.
Opéra du Quai au Foin
The Opéra du Quai au Foin was the first public theatre in Brussels. Opened on 24 January 1682, it was abandoned in 1697 and turned into a warehouse.

The station in part of the North-South axis between Brussels-North railway station and Albert premetro station.
Anneessens premetro station
The Anneessens premetro station is an underground tram station in the municipality of the City of Brussels in the city center of Brussels, Belgium. The station is located under the Anneessens square along the Maurice Lemonnier boulevard. It is on the North-South Axis, a tram tunnel crossing the city center from the Brussels-North railway station to the Albert premetro station. Tram routes 3 and 4, as well as evening routes 31, 32 and 33 stop at this station.
Boulevard Anspach
Boulevard Anspach or Anspachlaan is a major boulevard in the city centre of Brussels, Belgium, connecting the Place de Brouckère to the Place Fontainas. It is named after Jules Anspach, a former mayor of Brussels. It was built over the river Senne, covering it up, although the river no longer runs underneath it. The De Brouckère metro station is accessible from the boulevard, as well as the Bourse underground tram station.

Chrysallida interstincta is a rather largely distributed species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pyramidellidae, the pyrams and their allies. The species is one of multiple known species to exist within the Chrysallida genus of gastropods.
