Sumqayit
Sumgayit (Azerbaijani: Sumqayıt; Russian: Сумгаит; also, Sumgait and Sumqayyt) is one of the largest cities in Azerbaijan, located near the Caspian Sea, about 31 kilometres away from the capital, Baku. The city has a population of 308,700 (2009 census), making it the third-largest city in Azerbaijan after the capital Baku and Ganja. The city has a territory of 83 km². It was founded on November 22, 1949.
Absheron District
Absheron Rayon, also spelled as Apsheron, is a rayon of Azerbaijan demarcated in 1963. Although it shares the same name as the Absheron Peninsula, the area covered by the rayon is not conterminous, being further west and mostly inland.
Id Gah Mosque
Id Gah Mosque or Eid Gah Mosque is the second largest mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. It is considered the cardinal religious mosque in the country, where a million people offer Eid prayers twice a year. It is located near the Mahmud Khan bridge and National Stadium in the eastern part of the city, in the Shar-e-barq of Kabul, which is one of the wealthier areas of the city. The 'Id Gah' means "Prayer Ground" where people congregate during national and religious celebrations.

Baku State University (BSU, Azerbaijani: Bakı Dövlət Universiteti) is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Established in 1919 by the Parliament of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the University started with faculties of history and philology; physics and mathematics; law and medicine with an initial enrollment of 1094. The first rector of BSU was V.I. Razumovsky, a former professor of surgery at Kazan University.

26 Commissars Memorial
The 26 Commissars Memorial was a Soviet-era monument located in Baku, Azerbaijan, that paid tribute to the 26 Baku Commissars from the Baku commune. The commune was overthrown in 1918 and the commissars later executed near Krasnovodsk. The monument was designed by Alesker Huseynov, who went on to become a prominent politician in Azerbaijan. The remains of the Commissars were buried at the site of the memorial, during the exhumation only 21 bodies were discovered.
Mehdi Huseynzade Stadium
Mehdi Huseynzade Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Sumqayit, Azerbaijan, currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Sumgayit City PFC. It has 15,350 seating capacity. On 3 November 2011, it was announced that there is a new project on the reconstruction of the stadium. Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex
The Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex is the main exhibition space of Baku, Azerbaijan. Named after a former president with a large cult of personality, it is located on Tbilisi Avenue between Hyatt Hotel and Grand Hotel Europe. Since its opening in 1990, it held about 40 international competitions in different kinds of sports.

The Alley of Honor (Azerbaijani: Fəxri Xiyaban, Honorary Alley) is a public cemetery and memorial in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Alley includes burials of famed Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijan-affiliated expatriates, including several Presidents, scientists and artists. There are 242 burials in total. The Alley was established by the order of the Council of Ministers of Azerbaijan SSR on August 27, 1948.

It is located between Baku and Sumgayit cities, next to Ceyranbatan settlement 20 km away from Baku. In Azerbaijani Jeyranbatan means "the place where the gazelle has drowned" which refers to an ancient legend related to the naming of city of Sumgayit.

AF Hotel is officially the largest hotel in the Caucasus. It is a four-star hotel and aqua park on the Caspian Sea in Novkhani, 21 kilometres from the centre of Baku, Azerbaijan.
