Mandurah
Mandurah is the second-largest city in Western Australia and is located approximately 72 kilometres south of the state capital, Perth. The city attracts a large number of tourists, including many international visitors. The city centre foreshore is home to a variety of wildlife including dolphins, pelicans, shags, and an abundance of marine life including the blue manna crab which has become synonymous with the area.

It is also home to the largest inland waterway in Western Australia - the Harvey Estuary and the Peel Inlet which combine to produce an array of fishing and crabbing options in the summer months. However, due to the crab population declining over the past half-decade, September and October and now banned from crabbing in the estuary.

Halls Head is a coastal suburb of Mandurah, immediately west of Mandurah's central area. It is largely residential and contains several canal estates developed since the 1980s. The locality was named after Henry Edward Hall (1790-1859) who received a land grant of some 16,594 acres (6716 ha) to establish a farm there in the 1830s. The suburb was officially gazetted in 1970

Wannanup (also known as Port Bouvard, Avalon and Florida) is a residential suburb in Western Australia, located 12 kilometres southwest of Mandurah and 87 kilometres south-southwest of the state capital, Perth. It is surrounded on three sides by water — the Indian Ocean to the west, the Harvey Estuary to the east and the Dawesville Channel to the south — and is home to the Port Bouvard development.
Serpentine River (Western Australia)
The Serpentine River is a river in the South West region of Western Australia. The river rises in the Darling Scarp below Bowerling Hill and flows westward crossing Albany Highway North of North Bannister. The river continues North West through the Youarling State Forest then the Serpentine National Park. The river flows through Serpentine Dam then flows over Serpentine falls just south of Jarrahdale as it comes off the Scarp and onto the Swan Coastal Plain.
Mandurah railway station
Mandurah Station is a railway station located in the city of Mandurah, Western Australia, which replaced Mandurah Bus Station, which previously existed on the same site. The station is one terminus of the interurban Mandurah line, which runs to the neighbouring city of Perth; the train services on this line replace the bus services that previously ran between Mandurah Bus Station and Perth.

City of Mandurah
The City of Mandurah is a local government area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 174 km² in the Peel region of Western Australia just beyond the southern boundary of metropolitan Perth, and lies about 75 km south of the Perth central business district. It is bordered by the City of Rockingham to the north, Shire of Murray to the east (the border being for the most part the Harvey Estuary and Serpentine River), and Shire of Waroona to the south.
Peel-Harvey Estuary
The Peel Harvey Estuary is a natural estuary which lies roughly parallel to the coast of Western Australia and south of the town of Mandurah. The strip of land between the Indian Ocean and the estuary carries the Old Coast Road and to the east is the Forrest Highway which is the main thoroughfare between Perth and the coastal towns of the south west corner of the state including Bunbury and Busselton.
Murray River (Western Australia)
The Murray River is a river in the southwest of Western Australia which played a significant part in the expansion of Aboriginal settlement in the area south of Perth after the arrival of British settlers at the Swan River Colony in 1829. The river is one of the few major rivers close to Perth which is devoid of dams for public water supply.
North Yunderup, Western Australia
North Yunderup is a locality near Mandurah, Western Australia, located on the north bank of the Murray River within the Shire of Murray. Its postcode is 6208, and in the 2011 Census, it had a population of 849 with a median age of 46, nearly all of whom live in separate dwellings.
Dawesville Channel
Dawesville Channel (also known as Dawesville Cut) is a man-made channel between the Peel-Harvey Estuary and the Indian Ocean at Dawesville about 80 km south of Perth in Western Australia. It is just south of the regional city of Mandurah and just north of Yalgorup National Park. The channel was constructed to alleviate an environmental problem which had developed where much of the 136 km², two metre deep estuarine system had become eutrophic.
Furnissdale, Western Australia
Furnissdale is a locality near Mandurah, Western Australia, to the south of Pinjarra Road and near the Serpentine River entrance into the Peel Inlet within the Shire of Murray. Its postcode is 6210. At the 2011 census, Furnissdale had a population of 1,027. Furnissdale (along with Barragup) is served by a deviation of the Transperth 598 bus route along Pinjarra Road between the river and Ronlyn Road.

Lake McLarty Nature Reserve
Lake McLarty Nature Reserve is a 219 ha freshwater lake nature reserve on the Swan Coastal Plain of Western Australia. The lake is named after a prominent pioneering family which settled in the district in the early 1860s. It lies about 90 km south of Perth on the eastern side of the Harvey Estuary and forms part of the Peel-Yalgorup System Ramsar site. It is an important area for waders, or shorebirds, and is a well-known birdwatching site.
