Rockingham, Western Australia
Rockingham is a city and primary centre in Western Australia south-west of the Perth city centre and south of Fremantle. It has a beachside location at Mangles Bay, the southern extremity of Cockburn Sound. To its north stretches the maritime and resource-industry installations of Kwinana and Henderson. Offshore to the north-west is Australia's largest naval fleet and submarine base, Garden Island, connected to the mainland by an all-weather causeway.

The City of Kwinana is a local government area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 118 square kilometres in metropolitan Perth, and lies about 38 km south of Perth's central business district, via the Kwinana Freeway. Kwinana maintains 287 km of roads and has a population of 30,433 (2011).
Rockingham bus station
Rockingham Bus Station was a Transperth bus station located next to Rockingham City Shopping Centre, 47 km south of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. The station provided bus transfers between inter-city and suburban routes. Its role has been replaced by bus facilities at the Rockingham railway station and the former bus station was demolished in 2008.
Kwinana Hub bus station
Kwinana Hub Bus Station is a Transperth bus station, located next to the Kwinana Hub Shopping Centre, in Kwinana, Western Australia. There was previously a bus station, the Kwinana bus station, located at Rockingham Road, Kwinana Beach near the Thomas Road intersection. It was closed on the commissioning of the Kwinana Hub bus station and the buildings have been demolished.

Hillman is an outer southern suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located within the City of Rockingham. It is principally a suburb of residential dwellings, and is the location of Hillman Primary School. The suburb was created and named in 1970 after Alfred Hillman a Draftsman, Surveyor and Explorer, who arrived in Western Australia in 1831 and made many initial surveys in the Rockingham area.

Calista is a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Kwinana. Calista is one of the Kwinana suburbs named after a ship. The Calista was one of the first ships to bring settlers to the Swan River Colony. She arrived with 73 passengers on 5 August 1829 under the command of Captain S. Hawkins. Two of the most notable passengers on the ship were Lionel and William Samson.

The brig Leda brought settlers to the new Swan River Colony in January 1830. The suburb name was approved in 1969. The name Leda is appropriate for a ship which brought colonists to the Swan River. In Greek mythology Leda is associated with swans because the god Zeus came to her in the guise of a swan.

East Rockingham, Western Australia
East Rockingham is an industrial suburb within the Kwinana Industrial Area, part of Perth and located within the City of Rockingham. It is home to two caravan parks. The suburb developed as a rural community in the 1850s when various pioneers took up land and settled in the area along Mandurah Road; however, the community declined following the opening of the port at Rockingham in 1872. The Rockingham Road Board's offices were located in East Rockingham between 1905 and 1929.

Mangles Bay
Mangles Bay is a bay of Cockburn Sound in Western Australia which opens out to the Indian Ocean. The town of Rockingham is on its coast, and the causeway to Garden Island runs along its southern edge. It may have been named for Admiral Sir Henry Mangles Denham. The bay's seabed consists of the Mangles Bay shallows, which is covered in seagrass meadows; and the Mangles Bay deep basin, a much deeper area slightly to the north. Mangles Bay is a popular recreation area.
Rockingham railway station, Perth
Rockingham Station is a bus and railway interchange located in the Rockingham suburb of Cooloongup, Western Australia. Situated near the intersection of Rae Road and Ennis Avenue in Cooloongup, 2 kilometres east of Rockingham Shopping Centre, it is served by the interurban Mandurah line, with services to both the Perth CBD and the neighbouring city of Mandurah. The station was designed by Jones Coulter Young architects.
Cockburn Power Station
Cockburn Power Station (CKB) is a power station in Cockburn, Western Australia. It has one natural gas powered gas turbine and one steam turbine that together generate a total capacity of 240 MW of electricity. The station was commissioned in 2003. It has a 160 MW combined cycle gas turbine which provides steam to a 80 MW steam turbine.

Read Street
Read Street is a main road and suburban distributor in Rockingham south of Perth, and runs through or alongside the suburbs of Rockingham, Cooloongup, Safety Bay and Waikiki, linking them to the Rockingham Shopping Centre. It ends in a roundabout at Safety Bay Road and becomes Warnbro Sound Avenue at that point. It is a dual carriageway for all of its length.

Kolbe Catholic College is a Roman Catholic secondary college situated in Rockingham, Western Australia, within the Archdiocese of Perth. The college was founded in 1989 by Brother Pat Carey, of the Christian Brothers, in Rockingham. The school has a current enrolment of more than 1000 students from Years 7 to 12. The College’s motto, "Courage, Faith, Excellence", is inspired by their patron, St Maximilian Kolbe.

Rockingham Shopping Centre is a regional shopping centre located 47 kilometres south-southwest of Perth, Western Australia, in the suburb of Rockingham. First opened in 1971 and formerly known as "Rockingham City Shopping Centre" and "Rockingham Park Shopping Centre", it has expanded several times, and now has a floor area of 62,384 square metres and 215 tenants.

The school was established in 1971 and caters for students in Year 8 to 12. The number of student enrollments has declined over the last five years. The school enrolled 955 students in 2207, then 944 in 2008, to 967 in 2009, then fell to 806 in 2010 and to 807 in 2011.
Gilmore College
Gilmore College formerly known as Kwinana Senior High School is a public co-educational high school in Western Australia. The school is located on Meares Avenue in the suburb of Orelia. The school was established in 1956 and caters for students in Year 7 to 12. The number of student enrolments have been erratic over the last five years. The school enrolled 780 students in 2007, then 1204 in 2008, to 1075 in 2009, then fell to 986 in 2010 and to 957 in 2011.
Kwinana Oil Refinery
The Kwinana Refinery, operated by BP, is located on the shore of Cockburn Sound at Kwinana, near Fremantle, Western Australia. It was constructed by the then Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and completed in 1955. It is the largest oil refinery in Australia, with a capacity of 138,000 barrels/day.
